Hey! My name is Suzie a.k.a. Shakiki (shuh-keekee). I'm currently residing a hair above Daytona Beach, FL. I've traveled all over the US and LOVE Road Trips! I sometimes have a cruel sense of humor and laugh numerous times a day at the simplest things! I have bunnies that are practically MY LIFE (odd, eh?!) and I'm a musician and play flute in my spare time when I'm up for it. I also enjoy photography and my little bunnies are a huge subject with my pictures. Thanks for reading my profile info and have a fantabulous day! -SMS-

  • Is This Vizio E421VO LCD Tv Worth Fixing? Weird Screen w/ Green Haze & Pixely?

I put up a small video of what it's doing. Did a factory reset on the tv, took it apart, checked the connections (they're all fine). Just bought from a local who claimed it was perfect so trying to figure out if I should sell it as-is (good luck getting a refund) or if it's worth getting a cheap part and fixing... Here is link to video PLEASE WATCH IN HD (click the settings box and select the top option for quality) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NRHFbJ-JUzc - the video was using cable via the component connection. With HDMI and component cable connected to the BluRay player, it'll be green lines and staticky looking (not clear picture) on either most of the picture or merely on the right half side. Thank you all for your time! Hoping it is fixable! Calling Vizio tomorrow.

  • 1993 Honda Civic LX Speedometer Not Registering Properly? (READ BELOW)?

My 1993 Civic has 159k miles on it, automatic... Within the last month I've replaced the spark plugs, main relay, fuel pump (with fuel pump filter), fuel filter and just this last week replaced the ECU/computer. The ECU was bad for a while (tons of bad spots on it) but then it started sounding rough at dead stops. When I accelerate, the speedometer isn't increasing until the RPM's hit about 1500 and THEN it finally kicks in. The speedometer is off by about 10mph (when I go to slow down it registers that I'm going about 20mph when I'm really going about 10). Just got back from the store and installed a BRAND NEW VSS (vehicle speed sensor) which is on top of the tranny. Took it for a whirl around the block, same thing, nothing changed. The distributor was replaced within the last 2 years, new plug wires, lots of new stuff on the car and the speedometer was working PERFECTLY until the ECU was replaced... I'm hoping I can return the new VSS since the old one was ok... HELP!! Thanks!

  • Windows 7 64-bit: Tone in Volume (Level Bar) not working & in Skype... Youtube works fine?

This is a bizarre thing that just happened to my HP G6 laptop... All sounds work BUT not Skype nor when you adjust the volume level by entering the "speakers & headphones" icon and adjusting the bar. Usually it makes a ding noise to verify the level of sound but it doesn't make a noise nor does the bar level (next to the actual thing you're moving up and down) light up as I believe it did before. I tried fixing the driver, did a restore (to previous version) and then upgraded to newest version. Nothing's changed. Device manager says it's up to date and no issues. Windows sounds are working fine... Maybe a glitch with Skype is hijacking the noise from the volume adjustment settings? Buttons on the keyboard to adjust sound work fine, Youtube videos work fine, etc. I'm a bit lost here. Any suggestions?

  • What Determines Your Residency of a Rental Unit?

Trying to find a list of things (or anything, really) that determines your residency in the state of FL. Say you rented a house and still had items there, still paid rent, etc. but temporarily stayed somewhere else. Would you still be able to consider your rental house as place of residency?

  • Easiest String Instrument to Learn if Your Hands Don't Cooperate?

I seem to have issues with my left hand bending properly to play the violin. I can play it at a beginner level but would LIKE to learn some string instrument that's a little easier to play or has a less wide neck. I've tried a mandolin before and have considered that OR maybe a backpack guitar or something. Any suggestions?

  • Trying to Find Orange Roses - NOT Dyed - to Plant?

When I was in high school, about 10-12 years ago, I found some 5-gallon pots (at Walmart) of orange roses. They were a light pink-ish orange color and, if I recall, smelled sweet like raspberries. Unfortunately I can't seem to find them anywhere anymore and would even consider purchasing bulbs of these roses. Anyone have any idea of the exact name of this rose? Thanks!

  • Trying to find website on vintage-to-modern car body kits?

I saw a car the other day with what looked like a Chevy Malibu (or similar) body (doors, etc.) and a mix-matched front and rear end on it. I ran into a car like this before a year or so ago but can't seem to find the website where they make the body kits. Basically it's car body kits that LOOK like old cars on newer car bodies.... Anyone?

  • What Should I Rename Newest Dog? Sheltie Shih-Tzu Mix Puppy...?

He's almost 4 months old (I WAS told he was 9mos) and his name is Boston - like the town in MA but named after some band? • 9 Month Male Puppy Doesn't Spray, Isn't Neutered. What Are The Odds Of Him Spraying in The Near Future?

Just adopted a 9 month old male dog/puppy today. He squats to pee and hasn't even tried to lift his leg and spray anything. I'm planning on getting the dog fixed but since he's not spraying anything and is already 9mos old, what are the chances that he'll spray in the near future? Thanks

  • Walking Distance vs Calories Burned?

I tried google for this but kept confusing myself! I'm ~168lb and have been walking 4 miles per day in approximately 70 minutes. I walk 1.7 miles in 30 minutes, take approximately 5-10 minutes to walk 1/2 mile (with a friend) and then walk the other 1.7 miles in 30 minutes. About how many calories would I be burning in a day or week if I walked 4 miles a day at my averaged 3.5mph walk? Thank you.

  • Anyone Know of Any Weight Loss Surgery Grants or Programs?

I'd like to enroll a friend of mine into a weight loss surgery (ex. gastric bypass surgery, etc.) program. Maybe someone knows of some things I can enroll them in to try to get them the surgery or at least consideration for something like that? Thanks for your time.

  • I'm ASSUMING the answer is "no" BUT is there anything I can do if I was sold 6+ y/o tires?

3 out of the 4 like new tires I bought earlier this year have blown almost resulting in horrible accidents. The individual I purchased the tires from earlier this year said they weren't old (1yr or less) and they did still have the nubs on them. From the end of July through 9/2 I've had 3 tires go on me. One had a tear and the other 2 had the tread just peel off. I know the answer is most likely no BUT is there anything I can do about the tire issues? Thanks

  • Are 1967 Mercedes 200 Cars Reliable? Basically - should I look into a classic or something more modern?

I'm thinking of getting a classic car. Yes I'm a female but I dabble in everything. I'm not so worried about cosmetics as I am functionality. I found an affordable '67 Mercedes 200, diesel, 4-dr, pristine condition, manual transmission, that I'm SERIOUSLY considering to go and check out. My brother is worried if I choose a classic car such as this that there won't be any parts available if needed. I just want something reliable that gets closer to 20+mpg. Supposedly these old Mercedes' get around 30+. I'm thinking of seeing the vehicle today but thought I'd toss the question on here to see if anyone can offer any info. This vehicle is a real beauty and I'm not sure but it MAY be a strictly southern vehicle (ex. limited rust from when it was driven). The guy selling it has owned it for over 42 years and says it's been garage kept.

As a main form of transportation, should I take the dive or stay with modern technology? Thank you for your time!

  • Looking for GOOD Dog Food Recommendations for 20-25lb Shelties...?

I'm looking to purchase (within the next few days) some GOOD dog food for my two shelties. One is 23lbs and the other is overweight at 26lbs. I'd prefer a weight management food (I was looking into Ultro Weight Management food but the company was receiving a LOT of ill pet complaints) and price, at the moment, is looking around $50/30lb bag. I had them on Blue Buffalo Chicken & Brown Rice for a while but it made their poo soft so I gave them BB as a treat and Alpo Prime Cuts (81pts on the point scale).

I was at Petsmart the other day and the lady said something about Nutro and Taste of the Wild. A quick google search said that someone's dog had the runs, etc. from another food but after switching to TOTW was like night and day (for the better). The dogs LOVED the BB food but it's high in protein which is most likely what made them have mushy poo before.

I'd hate to buy a big bag of something to find poor results but MAYBE that would be what I should do just to see how they do with it... Any ideas? Last time I splurged on dog food was for the Blue Buffalo when it was on sale for like $25 for 30lbs. Now the Alpo Prime cuts is $20.99 for 55lbs here.

I'm looking for breed-specific (preferably) recommendations as shelties put on weight fast and I'd prefer to get a weight management food to knock the weight off the heavier one. Thanks!

  • Pennsylvania Automotive Mechanic Laws & Consultation Before Repairs Made?

I put my suv in the shop this past weekend and made a specific list of what I wanted done. Basically I wanted the front driver's side inner tie rod replaced, front passenger side ball joint replaced, ac recharged, oil change, front end alignment and estimate for bumper dent removal to be done. I called throughout the week to ask them to run a diagnostic as the check engine light was on so I was curious as to whether it was the catalytic converter or not as someone had told me. Anyway, when I called them throughout the week they made a note to run diagnostic check and then, yesterday (Thursday) they said that they were almost done and had replaced ALL 4 ball joints and that the bill would be from the estimated (via phone) $400 job to $1k. They never confirmed nor even consulted with me about replacing all of the ball joints. When asked if they have a policy to contact owners of vehicles with what they want to fix/replace BEFORE doing the work, the guy said no. When asked if he did receive my itemized list of what I wanted done when I dropped off the vehicle the guy confirmed that he did receive the list. When asked about the replacement of all of the ball joints he just said "Well they needed to be replaced, they were shot" but when I had the tires put on there January 1st of this year they even greased the ball joints for me and didn't say a thing about them being bad... Was what they did illegal (not contacting me for approval of services and replacements) or is this an ok thing to do in the state of PA? I called BBB and consumer affairs and they said to pay and then file a complaint... Any input and reference links would be greatly appreciated as I cannot find anything online of assistance... Thanks

  • Where Can I Get Information Regarding Having an ENTIRE Hear of Hair Cut? I saw it online years ago...?

This may sound ridiculous or confusing but I recall seeing some website or videos a few years ago (within the past 5 years) where people would tie their hair into a ponytail and then have their head shaved at the base of their head to ensure the longest amount of hair to be cut off as possible. A friend wants to donate to locks of love and I mentioned this to them and they'd REALLY like to have this done but we need more information so they can find a place locally who would do it. Hopefully I've put enough information so someone can help! Thanks a bunch!

  • Does Premature Birth Impact Your Muscle Strength & Coordination in Older Years?

I was born the end of January (1985) and was supposed to be born in the middle of April. I've always been solely reliant on my right hand and, obviously, am right-handed. Ever since I was a young child I've had difficulty holding heavy objects (even say a gallon of milk) with my left hand. At 25 I still have this issue with my left hand and muscle strength, etc. I'm able to type around 80-90wpm on the computer with both hands equally and play the piano, etc. without much hassle. I've found piano to be more difficult with my left hand coordination vs. typing on the computer... Anyhow, I'm trying to figure out if the weakness in my left hand may be due to something not properly developed "upstairs" as an infant. When I was about 5 or 6 I dropped a large rock (well, it was large to me at the time) on my left hand as I was holding it in my right hand, right hand got tired and so I swapped hands to have my left hand and arm go completely weak and smooshed my finger.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why this may be aside from needing to lift weights or something? Links and personal experiences are welcomed! Thanks!

  • What was the movie with the guy who was anorexic in it?

What was the movie that came out a few years ago with the man who was basically anorexic? He killed some lady's son and kept having visions of them at the park (or something like that) and then it turned out that he killed them and it was WAY out there... Anyone? Thanks!
