Trying to Find Orange Roses - NOT Dyed - to Plant?

When I was in high school, about 10-12 years ago, I found some 5-gallon pots (at Walmart) of orange roses. They were a light pink-ish orange color and, if I recall, smelled sweet like raspberries. Unfortunately I can't seem to find them anywhere anymore and would even consider purchasing bulbs of these roses. Anyone have any idea of the exact name of this rose? Thanks!

Update:

The label had read "Orange Rose" but I'm not sure of the latin name, etc. which is what I'm trying to find.

roses don't grow from bulbs. you can find many kinds of roses (not readily available at the garden centres) on the internet.

What you may have seen 12 years ago or even longer at WalMart was Tropicana rose. Very fragrant but also prone to every disease that comes down the road.

Go to a real nursery, not a flower shop attached to a hardware or general merchandise store. It's too late to order through the mail, but real nurseries will have roses in containers ready to go. Often they are in bloom so you can check color and scent.

Another orange rose I like is Just Joey.

unless you live in the tropics, there are rose gardens everywhere that propogate roses for sale. There are many varieties that are orange, from pale sherbet-y orange to deep, bright tangerine, coral, and in between. Visit a rose nursery or look online. Roses should be planted in winter, however, for best results. You can read all about it. Bulbs are not roses, btw. Roses have woody stems, like trees, and are propogated by cuttings.

Playboy, Westerland, and Livin' Easy. All three are very healthy plants and bloom well. try Brass Band...Cary Grant.....

Look these up, Hawaiian Sunset, informal HT (up to 50 petals!).. beautiful melon-like orange w/ fruity scent.

Ave Maria, may have a hard time finding, but deep rich orange classic high centered HT, very prissy. glossy dark green foliage.

Safrano - old tea and a grandparent of New Dawn. This is a stunning fluffy rose with the many colors in it, ie saffron, gold, apricot. very fragrant. parentage to alot of famous roses.

Just Joey-HT child of Fragrant Cloud.. buff-apricot, very fragrant. Exceptionally large blossoms (dinner plate). This is supposed to be a bloom factory, so the shrub is not eye catching, but the blooms are constant. Shiny dark green foliage is a plus. resistant to disease. Amercian FRose Society rates it an 8.

    VooDoo...

    Christopher Colombus....Just Joey....Judy Garland.....Halloween....

Orange Juice, Caribbean, Pat Austin, Chris Evert, Flora Dora, Victor Borge, and Dolly Parton.

You can also obtain Signora from Arena roses. I bought one from them last year.

Hawaiian Sunset can be found at Vintage Gardens.

favorite orange rose is "Orange Ruffels" Healthy, hardy and fragrant soft orange.

Citrus Tease....Brandy....Westerland, and Louise Clements from Heirloom Roses.

look 'em up and choose your favorite!!....and there's this page, too...
