Easiest String Instrument to Learn if Your Hands Don't Cooperate?

I seem to have issues with my left hand bending properly to play the violin. I can play it at a beginner level but would LIKE to learn some string instrument that's a little easier to play or has a less wide neck. I've tried a mandolin before and have considered that OR maybe a backpack guitar or something. Any suggestions?

Update:

I've fiddled with the violin (literally) but my left hand just doesn't want to seem to cooperate and I have difficulty reaching the closest-to-me string (G). Maybe I'll look into a cheapy mandolin OR uke, they're cute! Thanks!

Is this a physical disablility? If not, it could just be because of not enough practise. I play bass and my hands at first couldn't stretch near as far as they can now, but I increased their reach with practise. Things just feel more comfortable with practise, so if it is not a disability or injury or anything that you have, you should stick with it if you like it. But yep, mandolin and ukulele are cool.

the project seems to be psychological and actual. very few string gamers are left exceeded, and human beings that are often arise against actual or psychological themes. The good action of taking part in a string device is with the final hand, it extremely is the final hand that drives the sound and the word. in lots of procedures the left hand in basic terms has to maintain up, or get there in time. a million) the left hand would not require lots of potential inspite of the actuality that dexterity is unquestionably powerful. the final hand demands lots greater potential and a large quantity of stability to produce a continuously good sound. So it grew to become right into a organic progression in direction of the form of the cello/violin because it extremely is. 2) Left exceeded anybody is unquestionably at a draw back. I even have met a retired professional left exceeded violinist in Melbourne. She grew to become into extremely stunning yet advised memories of the hours and hours of bowing workouts she had to place herself by way of to have the skill to realize something like a professional bow technique. I knew a left exceeded cellist in my childrens orchestra some years in the past. She extremely struggled to produce a good sound. notwithstanding she grew to become into doing to advance in her first twelve months at uni left her with RSI so undesirable i do no longer think of she has performed because of fact that. I even have additionally seen a left exceeded violinist taking part in a left exceeded (or reversed) custom made violin. He grew to become into an exceptionally unusual individual and created lots of problems for the back of the seconds the place he sat as his bowings constantly regarded reversed. i desire that solutions the question - under no circumstances be jealous of a left exceeded string participant as they actual don't have an benefit.
