I got a 2001 Ninja 636 a while ago, and was looking to get new fairings for it, previous owner dropped it, all cosmetic, kind of want to get her looking good again. I was looking into a site that offered new painted fairings, is this a good idea to do?

Also what are the perks of getting a carbon fibre fairing? I saw on their site, that an extra 300 bucks, could get that, is it just for looks or performance. I know my bike's incredibly light compared to others as it is, so not sure how much beneficial it is.

I had a recruiter ask me to come back to the service as reserves. And I was discussing after finishing my degree, getting a commission. I talked to someone else about this who was in the reserves already, said that the military had a contract, where if you had so many credit hours, you could go in commissioned and had to have the degree degree by the time you would make O-3.

On my current route in school, I'll actually probably have a masters before I would be able to put on O-3E, so I would be good in that aspect. Does anyone have any information regarding this program, and how it really works?

I spent 5 years in the Navy, and over 4 years on a ship through 2 deployments, and it became apparent real quick that without those people besides me, there would never any way that I could have done it. That it was no longer about patriotism as it was about fighting for each other. There was 12 people who died from either my ship or on other ships during this time, and one instance was from a helicopter going down, we spent 3 days searching for these guys, at which I'm pretty sure none of us could sleep, but be outside and doing as much as we can to look. This is how strong our bond was to each other.

Now my question is, after thousands of miles traveling, a lot without even shoes, hungry; after 2 long days of fighting at Gettysburg, 3 years into fighting for a split country, . What kept the charge going, how where they that motivated to push forwards when it seemed like a suicide charge? I mean these people where fighting against each other as best friends, fathers and sons, brothers, fellow veterans from years before.

If what keeps us together and fighting, is the brotherhood between troops today, what did it back then when they fought each other?

What is the fastest way of finding the determinant. I know taking the first 2 rows and adding the products and subtracting respectively. Another is a_11 |a_22*a_33 - a_23*a_32| etc... Another is adding the diagonal and subtracting the reverse + products of the corners. Then of course reducing the matrix. But I see my prof do something that's really quick, and trying to figure out. She multiplies out the diagonal then points to the lower triangle, writes a number, the points to the top writes a number and adds them. What did she do?

Hello, I'm starting to look into some high performance coding. I've been informed about using OpenMP and was doing a test code with it. I did a loop in hopes to get each core to split up and do part of the loop(s) at once. Instead it seemed like it started the loop, then once it stopped on the number, it switched over to the next core and continued... I was wondering if it were possible to have/assign each core to do something at the same time as the other cores are also working. To give multitasking more of a literal term?

I had this problem on my recent quiz, and couldn't really figure out how to solve it. http://mathbin.net/80348 where C is the line segment joining (2,0) to (2,3) So I solved it with green's theorem, which doesn't work since it's not a closed curve. I recently had a steak and egg sandwich, which was pretty good. I was wondering if it were possible to cook a filet mignon, then throw a poached egg on top, and top it with a red wine pan sauce. Would this work and should I put anything else in it or any other suggestions?

(x + y).(x' + z) = x.z + x'y Its asking the name of the theorem and how to solve using the first 8 laws of Boolean Algebra. I know that law 16 states that (x+y) (x'+z) = xz + x'y so this proves this to be true but I"m not entirely sure on how to calculate using the first 8 laws. Here's what I got so far: xx' + xz + x'y + yz == 0 + x'y + z(x + y), from here I'm not sure where to go.

Is this book the same thing as his Early Transcendentals, I've skimmed through them and it seems to have the same table of contents and from what I've looked at appendix questions wise is also the same, so I was just curious if both are the exact same books. Was just trying to find out the differences (if there are any) before I get it.
