  • Does Rear Sway Bar Increase Lateral Grip/Acceleration?

On skid pad tests done by most car reviewers, they often give a value for lateral grip. For example, the 2011 WRX STI has a .93g average, according to Motortrend here:

    http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/sedans/1010_20...

I never see people discuss higher numbers when upgrading suspension parts, which I'm sure helps. Can a simple rear sway bar increase this number?

  • Which Ray-Ban sunglasses would you go with?

Just want your thoughts and opinions. I just bought one of these and really like them. Funny, I checked one of them out online, went to the store and bought the other one because they look "somewhat" similar. Didn't realize I bought the "wrong" one until I looked at the picture again. But anyway, I love them just as much! Just wanted to see which one people would choose if these were the only ones to choose from.

  • I bought stocks, but never sold.. do I need to report it on my tax forms?

I bought some stocks, in my own account, and have held onto them for a while now since mid 2010. Do I need to tell the IRS that I bought but never sold?

or do I need to report the stocks I bought on any special forms even though I never sold them?

FYI, I did receive dividends, and I know I have to pay tax on that and will be reporting that, but I never sold the stocks themselves.

  • Can parking ticket be dismissed for wrong model of car written on the ticket?

So yea the cop wrote down the wrong car model, on the ticket he wrote "4 DR" I'm guessing for 4 door when my car is actually 2 door, and model RSX (acura).

get this, ticket is for parking "more than 18inches from curb" when I wasn't, then he writes "car parked on road facing curb"...which I was, but what is the real violation? Then I find out it's a ludicrous $150!!! all this for parking in front of my own HOUSE.

  • How much would you pay for a used 2003 RSX?

The dealer has a 2003 Base RSX listed for $11995, it has 73,500 miles on it.

Before you tell me to look on KBB

the private party GOOD Value on KBB is $10345

and the trade-in GOOD Value is $7940

    That's a big difference.

So I asked the salesman by email for $9500 cash out the door, and they said "sorry" lol... do you think if I go to the dealership they'll take it after loads of negotiation?

  • Corporate Companies never look at your resume if submitted online?

    ..Or Is it just me?

I've submitted my resume to many companies (small and large) out there for positions they list as open on their websites and I've never had a response back, except for an auto-reply. It's the same with a good friend of mine who has more experience than I do.

What's the deal? It seems pointless if they don't even respond with a rejection.

Any HR people out there who can answer this?

I got my present position by networking (the old fashioned way proves it works). But of course if I have no network to a company I'm interested in working for, except by their online website, it doesn't seem to work.

Also, recruiters are scum, I get contacted by them all the time if I use monster or careerbuilder...waste my time... and have never been offered a job through the company they refer me to. But it seems as if they're the only ones who can get a hold of HR or management at a company in terms of online.

  • Capital one Auto is done all online?

If Capital one Auto Finance is all done online, how do I sell my car to a potential buyer if I can't go to a local bank branch when they are my lienholder?

There are lots of people out there saying "The two of you (buyer and seller) should go to the local office of the lien holder and finalize the papers there," and "Take your check and meet the seller at the lender office so that the transaction will be done correctly," but this only applies to lenders such as Chase or Wells Fargo...

Capital One Auto is such a P.I.T.A., how do I do it smoothly with the buyer through this ONLINE bank?

I'm the seller, I'm in Texas.

  • Does this car sale sound legitimate?

I'm selling my car, but it's the first car I've ever sold that is still financed. They buyer just emailed and tells me this:

"This is just an outline to see if we can agree on the plan of action.

If possible, I would apply for a loan with Capitol One and use that loan to pay-off your car.

That way a Capital One check pays off the loan, which Capital One can easily verify.

The bill of sale is written for the amount of the Capital One Pay-Off, to keep paperwork simple.

I pay you the $11K via a Bank Check as a private transaction.

You will get a scan of the check in advance, so you can verify it's authenticity. Alternatively, we can use an escrow service for the $11K, but the fees are on you for that."

It sounds good to me, but I don't know about the "bill of sale is written for the amount of the Capital One Pay-Off, to keep paperwork simple" part.

How can we come to agreement on price securely??

    1) So I'm looking to sell my car and my lending institution says something about a 10-day pay off quote. I didn't understand what they mean. Anybody fill me in on the details about this?

FYI I'm selling a car, the car is worth more than the loan amount, obviously still financed..

2)Also, WHEN or HOW can I obtain lien release?

  • Wierd chest pain?

For past 2 days I've been having this wierd feeling in my chest when I apply pressure to it in the center. It also happens if I move both my shoulders as far forward as possible without moving any other part of my body.. it puts pressure right in the center of the chest. And also if I do pushups I can feel it sometimes. It's not painful, but it doesn't feel right either.

It doesn't happen any other time except in these kind of situations where pressure is applied by force. Any idea on whats wrong?

  • 2005 Saab 9-3 Aero 2.0T?

Thinking of getting this car for a great price. But I'm still hesitant to get it because I don't know too much about this make.

There isn't too much out there about the reliability of Saabs so I just wanted to know how these cars are in terms of reliability. I've read both good and bad things, but mostly good. The only bad thing I've heard that may happen are electrical problems (which can mean an arm and a leg). So anyone with this car experience these problems? or any other problems?
