Can braces fix a tooth thats slightly longer and/or shorter?

I have a tooth that is slightly longer than the other ones (one of my "bunny" teeth in the front, or you can think of it as the other one being slightly shorter). Will braces help fix the problrm? Ihave some other teeth that are out of alignment too so id like braces to fix everything, i dont want veneers if braces will fix it. Has anyone had this problem?

My front bottom teeth were like that (think house roof). An x-ray from the dentist showed that the front middle teeth were just sticking further up out of my jaw. They weren't any longer than the ones next to them. The ortho put braces on them and pulled the "longer" ones back down into my jaw, and the "shorter" ones up out of my jaw a little until they were all even. Now they all look the same length.

  • unfortunately, what braces do is just to well align your teeth. they don't do magic making your teeth be of the same size. I guess veneers are only your option.
