How much would you pay for a used 2003 RSX?

The dealer has a 2003 Base RSX listed for $11995, it has 73,500 miles on it.

Before you tell me to look on KBB

the private party GOOD Value on KBB is $10345

and the trade-in GOOD Value is $7940

That's a big difference.

So I asked the salesman by email for $9500 cash out the door, and they said "sorry" lol... do you think if I go to the dealership they'll take it after loads of negotiation?

you do not use the trade in to factor the price

you use private party value + retail value (dealer) then take the avg in this case....private listed at $10345 and retail is at $13710 add them and divided by 2 you'll get $12027 they priced it just below that....so your best bet is $10,000 drive out....but that's a $2000 knock down and work your way up again....usually they'll let go the car at a 10~15% off the sticker price....which will come close to $10195 + tax and fee....if you know how to negotiate you can get rid of that all together...but remember this is a ACURA they might not go to 15% prob. only 5~8% down from listing price

    either way GOOD LUCK!!

have fun talking to the slim ball sales person / and their boss

Source(s): me...with that said I'd get a used car from an individual, dealers rip you off!!! you can probably find this car on local ebay or craigslist for about $8500~9500 used for sale by individual

your going to find most retail prices in the 12-13k range for that vehicle, provided its in good shape, with out crazy miles. most used cars seem to be marked up about 2000.00 dollars. keep in mind its an RSX and they DO pull premium values even though its acuras entry level car, it gets great gas econm\omy, and appeals to ALL age groups. Also if you are looknig at this car and its on a new carlot, they may have put premium money in the car to get one there at the lot. offer 11,000 everything included, tax, title fees etc. sometimes if you do a reverse offer with everything included you can get a better deal becaise the salesmen isnt paying attention to this method.

I wouldn't pay any attention to KBB...go to edmunds.com or NADA.com. Those prices are more realistic. You need to look at dealer retail..private party and trade-in value don't mean much to you. $9500 out the door?? That's a pretty low-ball figure...if I was a dealer I wouldn't take that either...good try though...lol.
