  • help?! probable cause for search warrant or no?

A neighbor called the cops when she heard Lisa and Aaron arguing because she knew Lisa and Aaron had small children and she was worried for their safety. After the police arrived at Lisa's residence, Lisa told the police that Aaron had left after the argument and that her children were visiting their grandparents for the weekend. The officer told Lisa he needed to check the house to make sure there were no children inside. Lisa refused him entry into her house and again told him no children were in her house. The officer told Lisa she had to let him into her house because he needed to check the welfare of the children. The officer then went into the residence and searched the first floor. After finding no children, he then proceeded to the second floor of the residence. On the second floor he again found no children. When the officer entered the master bedroom (looking for children), he smelled a strong odor of marijuana. In Plain View were marijuana leaves as well as paraphernalia. He then left the inside of the residence and went outside. He asked Lisa about the marijuana and whether she had more. While he was conversing with Lisa, another officer was getting a search warrant for the entire house for other controlled substances or paraphernalia. Was there probable cause for the search warrant since the officer was originally looking for children when he came upon the marijuana? The first officer at the residence had no search warrant to enter the house. He was not given consent from Lisa to enter the residence. Under law, was he even allowed to enter the house?

  • My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 years, I'm 19, I'm healthy,I'm very attracted to him, what's wrong?

My boyfriend and I have been together for over four years and we are very happy together. The only thing that is frustrating about our relationship is our sex life. (Yes, we use protection... condoms and birth control) It seems like I am never "in the mood" to be intimate with him and it is frustrating because I do not know why. I am healthy, and have never had any medical problems. I am on birth control. I still find my boyfriend VERY attractive and I am truly happy with him. I am only "in the mood" once or twice a month. Does anyone have any ideas as to what is going on?

  • Help! My friend is a victim of internet fraud!!?

Well, one of my best friends found a Jeep Wrangler on craigslist that she was interested in so she emailed the seller and he replied saying that he was due to leave for Iraq on June 5 so he wanted to do the sale through a third party such as ebay motors. He gave her a name of another individual who was supposedly with ebay motors and she was to money gram $2800.00 to this man at "ebay motors" at which time her vehicle would be shipped and she would money gram the remaining $2800.00 to the same man at "ebay motors". Needless to say she never got her car and now the seller is not emailing her back... He refused to give her a phone number to reach him at so everything is through email. I know this is her own fault because she should have been more careful... but does anyone have any ideas of what to do to try to catch this criminal and get her money back? She contacted local police but where we live (a town of about 1000) the local police are not really equipped to deal with this. Also, she gave the guy her full name address and phone number. She could be in danger herself (let's hope not though!). Should she contact the FBI? How?

Thanks for any time and any help at all!

  • Debate help... theologians? "The reader of the Bible must have certain religious convictions before having.."?

"The reader of the Bible must have certain religious convictions before having a meaningful encounter with the Bible."

This is my thesis that I need to argue. (I don't agree with this, so it is extra hard for me!) I have included things such as faith, human interpretation, looking at the Bible academically vs. religiously, and I have broken down the thesis into smaller parts for my audience to better understand it.

Do you have any other ideas of what to include? Any ideas of key words to search? This is for my Sacred Scriptures class, if that has any relevance!

Thank you in advance for any/all help!!!

  • Very big problem! I need help figuring out how I study!!?

Recently I've come to the conclusion that I just do not know how to study. In high school I was always the student that didn't need to study to do well on tests. College is a different story, however! I've tried making notecards, but it seems I spend so much time making them that I don't have enough time to study them. I try reading the material over and over but somewhere between the words my mind goes off on a tangent about something else going on in my life. Does anybody have any ideas of how to study? What works best for you?
