How do I stop the my coworker from flexing his wealth on the lower paid employees he supervises ?

Most people can barely make ends meet and he is always bragging about his purchases and vacations. One lady who worked in payroll killed herself last month and before that he was taunting her about how poor she was.

Update:

Sorry I don’t know why this question got placed in the politics section.

LMAO!! I'm sure the lady who worked in payroll killed herself because it's just such a stressful job and she was fed up with all the petty office politics.

    Tell him this:

"If you are so EFFING well to do 'TED', then either prove it by getting every body lunch once a week or shut (TF) up. If you do not have the money to get us all gifts, then you are a broke lying poser who doesn't have a real pot to piss in.....'TED'"

Why do you think you can control him? That's his parents job, not yours.

You can't assume that the lady in payroll killed herself over your co-worker's statements. Even if he did taunt her. People rarely commit suicide because of one thing--and there may be a number of reasons for her death that you are not aware of.

Second, you can't stop someone from bragging either. You CAN ignore it. Anyone who brags like that is insecure. Rest comfortably in the knowledge that this guy has a very small mind and no empathy for anyone else--and leave it alone. Don't acknowledge his boasts or rise to the taunting.

Too bad it wasn't you instead of the lady in payroll.
