Mixing blue and gray paints?

I have 3 gallons of a somewhat dark gray flat interior paint, and I have 1 gallon of satin blue paint. No one in the house wants the dark gray, but I want to use it up, so I was thinking if I add the blue I should end up with a slightly lighter gray with a shade of blue to it. Does that sound like what the result would be with this combination of 3 gallons dark gray and 1 gallon light blue?

I think that the blue will disappear. But take a solo cup, measure out 2 parts of the gray to one part of the blue (you can guestimate) and test it out. Flat and satin mix.. You get a sort of eggshell finish.

I think all you're going to get is a slightly lighter grey. There probably won't be much blue apparent in it. You can test it, by taking 3 measures of the grey and adding 1 measure of the blue to it.

You could use the 2 if they were the same finish. IDK how satin and flat will mix. Try it. Do a test on a primed board before painting your walls.

    Good luck

I'm not so sure you can mix a flat with a satin. They don't seem compatible.
