What type of countertop is that? Quartz or Granite?

I seem to remember a color like that when I was selling Quartz

Looks kind of like Silestone Stellar Snow. Even if its not an exact match its close enough for me to say its probably some kind of quartz. 

its a solid surfacing probably like Caesarstone, Silestone, Cambria etc. But there are many manufacturers and several levels of expense.

If you look at quartz and granite countertops you'll see that this is neither.  This is man made solid countertops, which include such things as quarts bits and some even have recycled glass.  This is not solid quartz, or solid granite.  Look online at the images for "man made countertops" and you'll see what I mean. 

It does not look like a real rock.  It looks like a manufactured solid countertop, "fake" stone.  It would be called a quartz countertop because it is made from quartz.  It is not a cut rock like granite or marble would typically be.

Many "quartz" countertops are basically a type of concrete, except instead of calcite as cement, they use polymers ("glues").  They are molded using liquified mixtures of aggregate (crushed or sieved stone) and a binder.

They work fine, and they look fine, but they are not real (natural) rock.  They are actually superior to true rock in some ways, particularly lack of porosity.
