is this price good for Alienware PC?

Question

A mate is selling his Alienware Area-51 PC, he said I can get it for 2500.00, is this a good price?

NOTE: he's keeping the monitor so I'd have to buy another one, advice on a good model and price would be great!

No the current starting price of an Alienware Area-51 is of 2199$ plus his settings i think it wouldnt go very higher (+ the taxes and the delivery cost) i'd say approximatively 2400 or 2600 maximum.

AND THIS IS THE PRICE FOR A WHOLE NEW COMPUTER NOT AN USED. 

Beside that, Alienware is one of the best brand of computer out there, and for the price he paid it I wonder why he would want to sell it to you a lil more or a lil less than the original price. Well i dont like to put conflict in friendship but he's cheating you. You better go buy a whole new one than buy his used one.

In my own opinion, which I feel is the opinion of a lot of other computer techs is that Alienware is over-priced and with that amount of money you could do soooo much better. Build your own for half the price.

are u kidding me good buy for whoever does that u cold maybe get 3000 if u try and put it on ebay starting bit maybe little over 2000 and put a reserve on it and see wat happends.
