What could this be????????

Hey guys!

I am trying to get back into shape however I have a good question.

I have been getting this really bad headaches and my eyes feel like they are about to explode.

I see little dots at times and really dizzy. I made a doctors appointment .

any suggestions of what it could be.

allergies have been bad...and I do drink water.

Update:

I had my bp checked and I amazed the nurse. It's like my head is clogged and my eyes have pressure ..I can see fine but I also get reaally lethargic. Diabetes is what I hope it isn't.

I think you are pushing yourself too hard while you are trying to get into shape. When one hasn't been working out or doing the exercises to get into shape and then starts trying to get into shape one needs to do the exercises more slowly and gradually so as to allow the blood vessels to expand to handle the increase in blood flow and blood pressure caused by the exercise. The reason you are having headaches, feel as though your eyes are about to explode, see dots, and feel dizzy is because the blood vessels in your brain are not used to the increased blood flow and blood pressure and some of the smaller blood vessels in your brain have ruptured and when they do one may get a headache. The problem with this is were a large blood vessel in the brain to rupture you may have a hemorrhage on the brain, a stroke, which could lead to death or paralysis. Your allergies may also be contributing to our headaches as you may have developed a sinus infection which creates pressure which is very uncomfortable. I suggest you stop all exercise until you have seen your doctor. Were you to have a sinus infection the doctor will give you and antibiotic which you should take as directed and use all of it even if you feel better. The reason to use all of it is to make sure the infection is gone and won't return. When your doctor tells you it is okay for you to begin exercising again I suggest you take it slow and build up gradually to get your body accustomed to the increased blood flow and increased blood pressure. I suspect you will find you won't get any more headaches or the other symptoms you are now experiencing were you to take it slow. Eventually you will be in such good shape that you can go full bore in your exercise routine and not suffer any adverse effects, but in the beginning take it easy. You are wise in drinking water as many people forget to when they exercise and they become too dehydrated. Be good to your body and it will be good to you. I will give you a web site that will help explain what I am telling you.

You may need to reduce the weight that you're lifting. Build up your weights more gradually. I used to get those exact same symptoms when I went to the gym with a hangover. Skip the gym if you were drinking the night before.

I think you should check your blood pressure. Many pharmacies have a free machine that you can use. Certainly there are other explanations for your problem, but bp is something you can check yourself easily.

this could be serious. Those are all of the symptoms of a seizure. Not the kind where you flop around, but a mental one. You are pushing to hard with out breathing

I had this problem, but then I found out I needed glasses :P You have done the right thing by making an appointment.

    Good luck!
