Chinese last names with wedding and divorce customs?
In China a woman that marries would take the man’s last name as hers? If she hyphen (-) her name, would she put the mans name before the hyphen or after? Then if she was to divorce, would she keep the mans last name, or take her own back... or something else?
For example:
Kim Smith-Lu
Kim (first name) Smith (mans last name) - Lu (girls maiden name)
Is she married or divorced?

If this person were Chines it would work like this:
Married:
Smith (Man's last name) Kim (girl''s first name) Lu (girl's maiden name)
If she were to divorce and choose not to keep the man's name, she would be
Lu Kim.

In modern China, mainland China it is, it is not a custom for women to take their husbands' names. In old times, or places like Hong Kong or Taiwan, If women were to take their husbands' last names, it would be like husband's last name maiden name first name. If they are divorced, they would drop husbands last names.
