What initiates apathy?

When life throws too much information and things to do at you.

Even if you are interested in a subject, but have 100 other things that need to be taken care of right now, the status quo will have to do for now on everything else, till you can get back to it.

Worse then apathy - the intentional sabotage of a working system, because it works and (you) do not like it.

Apathy defines the era in which we live. It begins by the repeated appearance of futility. What is worse then apathy? Avarice, since it perpetuates apathy.

apathy is when you're in a cage that, when you hear a bell, you get fed.

expectation=reward

then you get a cage where, when the bell goes off, you pull a string, and the food comes.

expectation=reaction

reaction = reward

then you get a cage where the bell goes off, you pull the string, but there is no food.

expectation=action=frustration

then you get a cage where the bell goes off, you pull the string, and you get shocked

expectation=reaction=frustration+pain

then you get a cage like the first one, and you sit and stare at the food like it's going to kill you. you don't react because its better to suffer frustration than endure pain for a reward you are certain will never come.

Apathy is initiated by the loss of interest in ones self.

If one is not interested in ones self then one cannot be interested in life.

When one is uninterested in life one becomes, by definition, apathetic.

Ignorance about the world around you because you have been side tracked to mineal interested distractions .

"worse" and "threat" are illusions. They have no real meaning as far as human existence
