Where to move. Dallas or Atlanta? ?

I’m from Arkansas 3hrs away from Dallas in a small small town, but I rarely go there. But I’m about 2 months I’m going to make a big move and i can it decide where to move too. My family stays in Arkansas and Oklahoma sooooo that’s making me want to go to Dallas but I have always wanted to move off. What’s a better place for a young adult to start. (I am going to secure a job before I go to whichever city) also have my own car.

Do you have letterboxes in the USA in front of your house? ?

    Favourite answer:

In some places, we do.  In some places, we have a mail slot in the front door.  In some places, we have a box on the front of the house.  In some places, we have a box on a pole along the street.  In some places, we have a bunch of boxes for several houses clustered all together.  In a few places, mail isn't delivered to every house and instead everyone goes to the post office to pick it up.

How do I find a roommate when I’m 18 in a new city?

Just turned 18 and looking to move to Dallas from a small town here in Texas in a couple of months for career opportunities and I’m wondering how I could go about getting a roommate who’s around my age in a big city where I’ve never lived before?

    RELATIONSHIP ADVICE - College Ending?

My girlfriend and I have been dating for 8 months and we attend college in Nebraska. I graduated last month and she graduates in May, and I have gone back to Chicago where I am from, she is from LA. Currently, I'm interviewing for a job in Dallas, Texas, and she plans to go to graduate school. We had always talked about this and she said that she would be open to moving to Dallas if I got the job and pursuing her masters there. I originally had always planned to move to LA even before I met her, but I thought it might be a bit expensive, and I thought she wanted to get away from home, so I proposed Dallas could be a new city where we can both start a journey together. Now, she is saying she is too scared to move to Dallas and she wants to stay at home in LA where her mom is (single mother, they are very close). This has changed everything...a partial reason I chose Dallas is because it has both good job opportunities and also good programs for her masters. I'm torn now, because I really don't care where I end up, but now switching to moving to LA again feels like I'm moving for her solely. I know we are young, but if I wasn't serious about this woman being a potential life partner I wouldn't be having this discussion. It seems like the only options now are either she moves to Dallas, I move to LA, we do long distance, or we break up. Does anyone have some advice here?

Do you need a car to get around in Dallas TX??

    Favourite answer:

Yes, there's not much in terms of pubIic transport. There are buses and trains, but they're not quite as reliabIe or popuIar as in other larger cities.

Which city is better to live in, Los Angeles or Dallas?

    Favourite answer:

Well, if a decent paying job and an affordable standard of living mean anything, then Dallas is your better bet. It means nothing of you make $150,000 a year but housing (small at that) is around 2 million dollars (okay, okay, they had a special this week and it's only $1.90 million--but not a penny less). Economically, the DFW area is growing and while traffic can be a pain, at least there is an effort at addressing it. The DFW area is diverse and includes people from all over the country (especially California these days) as well as a large immigrant population. I hope that helps.

Is it true that Dallas is a racist city?

    Favourite answer:

I don't know where you got the idea Dallas is a racist city. Both the new mayor and police chief are black, but the city is mostly Latino with Anglos and Asians mixed in--and don't forget a large LGBTQ community. You shouldn't have any problems.
