Is it safe to install an U-shaped PVC pipe on top of roof vent pipe to prevent rain water getting in the vent pipe?
Vent pipe was vertical piece sticking up over the roof. I installed u-shaped PVC pipe so rain water or dirt do not get in the vent pipe. Id is safe for home? PVC is open ended so there is no issue with ventilation,

How To Deal With Tree Roots In Your Sewer Line?
You might first be wondering, how do I keep the roots out of the sewer line in the first place? Ultimately the only way is to make sure the pipe stays intact is that it doesn’t get breaks in the first place. But seeing as you can’t even see the pipes that are buried underground, this isn’t something you can do.

Risks for repeated light switch flicking?
I have a sister who has a problem with fidgeting. At some times she would continuously turn on and off a light switch. We tell her to stop, but she wont. At one point, I would hear a small electric buzz when I slowly move the switch up. I’m not sure if it means there is a small electrical problem happening due to my sister’s frequent light switch flickering. Is there is a risk if she continues doing this? Like a spark which could cause a fire, or something that could cut the power, or something similar to that?

Water and Ice on part or whole roof?
We are getting our roof replaced. Had several companies come and some say water and ice on the whole roof. Others say only partial and explain that its not good to have on the whole roof because it needs to breath. Wondering there is any roofers out there that know this answer. I live in the northeast so we get 4 seasons.

Why is my bath water blue ?
Favourite answer:Many of our white porcelain fixtures were stained blue from copper leaching from the pipes due to acidic water. A pH treatment system was installed and the problem disappeared.

Is it normal for lights to remain intact even when turning on an air conditioner?
So I use a 5,000 BTU window AC unit to cool a small room. The few times that I turned it on not once did the lights go dim. Usually when turning on a vacuum or an air conditioner I see the lights dim for about 1 second and that's it. However, this air conditioner has no effect on the lights and it is a unit from 2005. The make is GE and it uses R22 refrigerant. I am guessing that a 5,000 btu window AC does not use or pull enough electricity to briefly dim the lights.

Can you put a inflatable pool on top of a leach field ?
Hi so I want to buy a mini pool to have to cool down this summer however there’s two places to put this pool. On the deck with limited room with the possibility of the deck breaking because it is old or over a leach field. The water capacity of the pool is only 203 gallons of water so Estimated to be 1700lbs when it’s filled. Is that to heavy to put on top of a leach field for the summer ? Anything helps since google didn't thanks

Can I put a window air conditioner in the doorway?
Can this be done? I will be put the window air conditioner on the floor, close the door as much as possible, and hang heavy drapes on top of the doorway.
I only hang out in my bedroom, so I don't care if the rest of the house gets hot from the exhaust.

What type and length of screws should be used to attach a plate caster to 3X3 post legs?
Favourite answer:Personally I would go with lag bolts. You will get a better bite in the wood.
1/4" should be sufficient if you are doing 4 per caster ...1 3/4 or 2"
