  • Visiting London next year - need help!?

I am a huge Jane Austen Fan and have wanted to visit England in general for as long as I can remember. Next year I finally have the opportunity to go and I'm taking my mom with me. I'd like to visit Bath, the Winchester Cathedral, Steventon, Stonehenge and explore London.

I would appreciate any and all forms of advice and help of where to stay (preferably cheaper), what things i should be sure to visit, how to get around, should i take a tour? I'm at a complete loss of where to start. I'm worried about where to stay, especially since I want to see so much - knowing that Bath is a good 100 miles West of London.

  • Jane Austen Quote tattoo - thoughts?

I finally figured out which quote I wanted for a tattoo. It is from Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice: "Til this moment I never knew myself" I was thinking of taking a letter written by Jane Austen to her sister and asking my tattoo artist to duplicate Jane Austen's handwriting to be the script for my quote tattoo. I wanted to put it on my left leg, above my ankle - but not wrap around my leg. I hate the type-writer faces from people trying to read or look at tattoos that wrap around the leg. But I was wondering what more I could do with it? Add "Jane Austen" or "Pride&Prejudice" or even just "P&P" underneath the quote - but now I'm not so sure.

    Suggestions???

  • tattoo idea - thoughts?

After re-reading Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice several times, I finally found a quote!

"Til this moment, I never knew myself"

It fits perfectly for the reason I'm getting it - being that the novel means a great deal to me personally, Plus it will always remind me that I'm capable of anything, to never say I can't do something. I was thinking of having the quote in a script very close to Jane Austen's own handwriting. It would go above my left ankle, and in another font have Pride and Prejudice just underneath the quote.

    Thoughts?!?!

  • Pride&Prejudice tattoo ideas?!?

After reading Pride and Prejudice I realised not only how much I enjoyed and loved the novel, but how much it affected me as well. I want to get a small tattoo, I'm thinking near or below my ankle. I've gone through many quotes - but none have really spoken to me. I think at this point I'm asking for ideas on symbols or a picture, etc that relates to Pride and Prejudice or Jane Austen herself. I'd like it to be no bigger than a 3in by 3in area, but I will take any and all suggestions!

I've seen a lot of quotes, but I won't ignore any possibility at this point. Just remember I'm looking for something short in length.

    THANK YOU!

After reading Pride and Prejudice, and realizing how much it affected me - I would really like to get a tattoo of a quote from the novel or maybe a symbol? I'd like it to be small, to go by my ankle.

  • Dog Ate Chocolate! HELP!?

I came home to find my 5 pound chihuahua had eaten half of my chocolate bar - as I searched for her, I also found 3 small piles of throw up. I was relieved, but now I'm left with questions - and it's too late in the evening to call the vet.

She's making this sound like she's about to whine, but it's almost whispered. I haven't seen her drink since I came home, but she does keep going back to her food bowl. Is it ok to feed her some dog food just hours after she's thrown up, or should I wait until to morning to bring her to the vet? She's 19, and my whole world. I don't want to lose her because of my carelessness.

    Please help.
