  • Study Abroad question?

I will be studying abroad this coming summer from the end of June through mid-August. However, my winter semester ends the last week of april. What are some ideas for somethings I could do for 2 months? I feel like I can't get a job for that short amount of time and I don't want to take any classes (I'm already going to graduate on time and, let's face-it, i don't have that much money!)

    Thanks!

  • Physics problem dealing with momentum and force.?

A soldier on a firing range fires an 8-shot burst from an assault weapon at a full automatic rate of 1000 rounds per minute. Each bullet has a mass of 7.44 g and a speed of 290 m/s relative to the ground as it leaves the barrel of the weapon.

What is the average recoil force exerted on the weapon during that burst?

So far I tried to use that p = F*t since I know what the veolicty and mass of the bullet is, I can figure out p and I want to know what F is. However, I'm not sure how to get the time...I know if comes from the 100 rounds/ minute but I'm not sure how to include the 8-bullet burst into the problem.

    Thanks for your help!

  • Visual Studio question?

I am just starting to learn C# and I have programmed before. I've been clicking around visual studio a lit bit and have a general idea how it works.

How do you make buttons do different things? Where in the code do you put it? Particularly, how would you download a picture from a website that the user types in to a text box?

    Thank you!

  • Creative ways to explain iteration and selection in C++?

I'm doing a presentation and was wondering if anyone had some good ways to explain iteration and selection besides the basic stuff you can read in a book (boring!)

Also, are iteration and while loops used in popular video games today? (or at least something like them) Something like in Mariocart, if you get too far ahead, a blue shell will be release knocking you back.

Thanks for your help! I'm not really good with the creative stuff

  • What is your fitness level?

What kinds of cardiovascular activities do you do?

How have your fitness, diet, and physical activity changed over the years?

This is for a project and any answers would be greatly appreciated. Please answer only if you are an adult! Thanks in advance.

  • Integration of x^3 * e^(-x^2) from zero to infinity?

This should equal .5, but I can't find out how to do it. I keep getting infinity. I think you have to use the fact that the integration (e^(-x^2)) from o to infinity is sqrt(pi)/2 (from the error function), but I'm not entirely sure

  • Integration of e^x using riemann sums?

I need to evaluate the integral e^x from 0 to 1 using the limit of Riemann sums.

    so far, I have

    lim as n>inf (1/n) SUM((e^(1/n))^i).

I thought I could evaluate the sum using the formula for a finite geometric series, but I only end up in a dead end with the algebra. Any ideas?

  • Nervous about College?

I moved into my dorm last Wednesday and already I want to leave. I'm really homesick, I'm nervous about my classes, the only thing people on my floor want to do is go to parties and drink (I've never even had a drink of beer in my life), and, at this point, it seems like it would be easier to commute to school. The college is an hour away from my house but I drove 50 minutes to my high school everyday, so it wouldn't be a huge deal for me. Plus, there's a lot of pressure on me to do well because my brother is graduating with a bachelors after going to college for only two years. I don't know what to do. My mom just keeps telling me i'm suppose to be having fun at college, but I don't se how this is going to work out for me.

  • My AP results aren't here yet?

All my friends received their AP results two days ago, yet I haven't. Should I be stressed out (like I am)? I live an 30 minutes to an hour away from my friends, but I don't think this would make a huge difference. One of my friends thought it might be because I took a lot of exams (7), but this didn't make sense to me.
