You are confusing being a working royal with being a member of the royal family. Meghan is still a member of the royal family; she is still married to Harry. They are not divorcing, but who knows what will happen in the future. None of us can say.

The Sussexes decided not to be working royals because they wanted to make some changes and were thwarted by out-of-date and snobbish courtiers.

Not all gossip is truthful or accurate--accuracy and veracity are missing elements in the coverage about Meghan. Too many people are ignorant of how tabloids operate. And the quality of today's reporting leaves much to be desired sense  hard news reporters fail to do the proper work to find the truth, choosing to rely on gossip.

I find it ironic that the person who posts about Meghan's supposed narcissism fails to see that the traits are found in her/him! People who just read one book, or one article about psychological traits are not experts on the subject.

I won't miss a lot of things about this category, but foremost among them is the bizarre obsession with the Duchess of Sussex that some people have developed and their fervent belief that they can read her mind and those of quite a few other royals.

It's actually comical -- and pathetic. However, resentments and even hatreds of women who marry into royal families are common and usually peter out after a while, though I've noticed it can take years among the truly obsessed. We'll hope these people get over their little problem.  

Narcissists like Meghan want/need four things from their victims:

--fuel (excessive attention or admiration)

--character trait acquisition (e.g. royal, humanitarian)

--residual benefit (e.g. fame, money)

--control (separate victims from friends and family)

No, she never intended to spend the rest of her life in rainy UK opening old people's homes and curtseying to Queen Kate. She was always going to sell the name and separate Harry from his family.

That's up to her and nobody else 

I agree with Trilobiteme, Meghan should apologise and promise to stay away from the Royal Family for ever. Is it just coincidence that she trashed her own family, and is now in the process of trashing Harry's family? 

She should stay away.   Just my opinion but how much easier was the occasion yesterday without her continually smiling at the nearest camera and clinging onto Harry.  And seeing William, Catherine and Harry - the 3 Muskateers - walking together after the Service was just great!!   Long live the 'old times'.

The trouble is, Harry will never walk away from his soon to be 2 kids.

Just apologize and get on with it. It's best for everyone involved
