My dog ate a baby bunny. ?
My dog found a nest if baby bunnies and got a hold of one. I saw it happen and grabbed the dog. But the bunny didn't make it. The problem I'm having now, is there's a fee more bunnies in that nest. Its all he wants now. Is there a safe way to relocate the remaining bunnies? Or do I just have to wait and hope my dog doesn't get another one? What's the best course of action here?

I would call the closest wildlife rehabilitation place and ask them what to do...they may be willing to take them in or help you move them to a wildlife preserve. It’s not the dog’s fault, it’s part of its nature to kill prey animals. Don’t let the dog loose without a leash anytime it’s outside, it could come back and kill more rabbits. Not all dogs can be trained to “just say no”, especially not the Spitz, wolf-dog mixes or hunting dog breeds, anymore than a cat being trained to leave birds alone.

Bunnies grow extremely fast! They will be out of there within a few weeks. Try to keep him on a leash at all times so he doesn't get them. You might be able to move them like 4 feet away to somewhere safer

If you relocate them more than a few feet (with clear line of sight to old site), the mother isn't likely to come back. Keep your dog away from the nest for a few weeks until they're out of the nest.
