The closest MMA/Muay Thai gym is an hour away from me. Am I crazy for thinking about training 3x’s a week?

I’ve been fascinating with the sport of MMA and especially Muay Thai for the longest but the problem is that the Muay Thai gym is a little over an hour away from me (an hour and 10 minutes to be exact). Am I nuts for even thinking about driving the distance 3x’s a week?

Yes, that is a complete waste of time.  Spending that much time traveling reduces the quality of your life and will likely result in diminished mental capacity.

not really many in the TMA will make that travel even longer and more often for such training.

Try 6 days a week 1 hour 20 minutes in morning and 55 minutes at night for 18 months plus working a full 8 hours a day plus every other saturday and 5to 10 hours of OT. Not to mention social life (if any by this point). And I also trained martial arts and workout at home and went to a gym to lift weights 3 to 4 times a week.

It the price you pay for glory. U do what u have to to survive.
