Whats my remedy here ?

If  you really love someone you do not "forget" them, but in time you think of them in a different way.

Your remedy is probably a bottle or two of whisky.

You never will, you'll just learn to think of him differently. 

Alcohol.       

Have sex with brawny sailors.

You'll get over it.  Everyone does.

Distance yourself. Make new friends and don’t go to the places you associate with him for a while.
