    Yes, you will still require travel insurance.

    This is not an insurance broker site; a number of specialist companies offer insurance to older travellers.

    Try  "Age Concern"  if you have a local branch.  Some years my mother of about the same age saved a lot of money with the same cover as any other insurance agency

    Google search for the best discount. Read the conditions/possible exclusions. Also, have a valid EHIC Card.
