How many days in a row can you legally work in Vermont?
My sister in law works at a bun bakery in Vermont, and due to it being summer, they're giving her a ton of hours.
She'll be working a total of 14 consecutive days this coming week, and I was just wondering how many days she can work in a row legally.
My mother in law (her mom) believes that it's no more than 7, but I heard somewhere that legally, people can't work more than 13 consecutive days. However, we also live in another state, so I don't know if this only applies to ours.
Other answers I've seen say that there is no limit to the consecutive days that someone can work as long as your employer pays you over time (however, this was for various states).
So the question is: How many consecutive days can you work in the state of Vermont?

She can work as many days as she wants to. The law is that she is paid time and a half for all hours WORKED over 40 a week. There is no law regarding number of days in a row except for transportation...truck drivers, etc

No limit as long as they keep paying her overtime once she hits forty hours a week.
Only a small number of states require days off.

Check Vermont laws ... working hours vary depending on the kind of work, if it's Union, etc and some jobs are exempt from the laws... it can become very confusing but if your sister isn't worried & doesn't mind then it's cool , if she is bothered it's time to file a complaint with the Labor Board in Vermont , it's one the few organizations that actually does something !

except for certain jobs in transportation. there is nothing that says you have to have any days or hours
off.
