Why is Islam the religion of peace?
Only want answers as it why its the religion of peace, and not other answers.

They're too busy raping women and then killing them cause they were asking for it to actually do any warlike stuff. Ignore the past when they overthrew and conquered other people because they're in for the peace.

Just look at all the peace Islam creates in the world daily - and has been creating through its entire history. Islam has a simple problem with meaning of word "peace". It is the peace that is only achieved by submission to its perverted doctrines of hatred.

That question is based on a falsehood. It is not the religion of peace. If you are looking for peace, I think following the Tao is a good start.

According to ancient native european language ... ISLAM in that language is a phrase of two words IS and LAM
,IS for Is and LAM for allowed ...which has the meaning IS WHAT IS ALLOWED ...ALLOWED has the meaning of the LAW ..because the word LAW mean ALLOWED ,... The LAW is a RULE .. the word RULE is the phrase of two words RU and LE ....which RU mean PROTECT n LE mean ALLOWED .... the whole phrase RULE mean PROTECT WHAT IS ALLOWED ... so THE PEACE IS ONLY THERE WHERE THE PROTECTION IS ... there is no anyone who can be more protective than GOD if you believe in GOD

Actually, I've read that that's actually a mistranslation. It means to 'submit' to God. But it's often interpreted (wrongly) as to be peaceful.
Many think it comes from the root word 'al-Salaam', which means 'peace'.
However, from what I've read, it comes from 'al-Silm', which means to 'submit' or 'surrender'.

I real quick google search came up with that. It explains it mostly the way I've read it in other places, however, that website does seem to have an agenda, so that should be noted.
