John Deere tractor drive belt problem?

I have a John Deere lt 155 that is having issues with the drive belt. Whenever the clutch is depressed after the tractor is running the belt flings off the engine and trans pulleys. The belt seems to have good tension, but I do notice it isn't as fast as I know it should be, especially on inclines. The clutch mechanism also looks like it is working as it should. I heard there is an idler adjustment, but I thought that was only to tighten the belt for when it is engaged. Could that adjustment affect it when it's disengaged or does this sound like a stretched belt?

V-Belt is mostly worn, also the engine pulley and transmission pulley, along with the idler pulley have guide pins next to them which is to keep the belt from falling off. They should be approx 1/8" away from the belt/pulley assy

Logically speaking if the belt is coming off then it is either loose or stretched. I don't know how old the belt is and I can't see your tractor so I'm only guessing. Contact John Deere direct for help.
