Can my tablet internet useage be tracked/traced?
I sent went to a travel website from another location and ordered one travel brochure for my cousin who lives in California. I was in someone else front yard when I logged on. I used my tablet. I know laptops and desktops have a MAC ID which identifies laptops and desktops. Is my tablet trackable? How can tablets be traced other then the ISP? If so,how? I didn't go to the website using my ISP. I sent it to where she works. The signal was week when I tried to send it even though it said thankyou for the order. Could she get a restraining order even though I live in Georgia? How would she be able to do that? Could this be stocking or harassment? She lives in California.

Yes, tablets have MAC addresses. It would be very difficult for anyone to track you down based on your order, even if anyone cared to. It is not at all clear why your cousin would want a restraining order against you for having a travel brochure sent to her, but if she did attempt it, it would not be awarded by a California magistrate against someone in Georgia. I don't think there is any legal basis for this to be considered stalking or harassment, unless you have already been ordered by a judge to leave her alone.
