Why do Democrats support war?

During the Bush (Jr.) years they hated it! The airwaves were filled with antiwar songs. What happened? The democrats cheer the demise of Osama Bin Laden..why? Is it because it happened under Obama's administration? If they were truly against war it sure wasn't for the same reasons I was. I find it hard to believe now that they weren't so much antiwar but anti-Bush. Or do they not realize that Obama is continuing the war machine? Where are all the protest songs? Are people so far into their party lines that they'll support war as long as it's a democrat and not a republican running the show? The Military Industrial Complex is stronger than ever! Where are all the pacifists?

Update:

Bombings in Libya- Obama

Bombings in Pakistan- Obama

Situation in Syria- Obama

Not only did we bomb Libya under Obama, but now we are using them to get at Syria. We're using Libyan soldiers to put down the Syrian rebels. What will we use Syrian soldiers for when we're done dominating them? It's called imperialism folks, look it up! Obama is no different from Bush

This has been happening even before Bush. Clinton went to all kinds of wars. This is why I think Obama will win. In a way, Obama can get away with going to war, and the Democrats and the media won't protest against it.

Most Democrats supported going to war in Afghanistan, it was the invasion of Iraq that got the most opposition; Bush was the one who got us involved in an ill-timed expensive war of choice, but anyone intelligent (to be sure the left has plenty who are not) recognized that we had to finish the job properly once started. Obama has done exactly what he promised to do last election-- draw down the war in Iraq and refocus on Afghanistan. (his foreign policy was always more pragmatic and centrist than liberal activists or far right wing opponents had hoped and assumed it to be)

The OBL raid was not an isolated incident, it was a small episode in a larger shift in strategy under Obama to attack the AQ/Taliban leadership in its safe havens, mostly with drone attacks.

    Why do Democrats support war?

Better yet, why do people make such bold, sweeping, generalizations?

IF you look at the last , oh, say, seventy five Years, you will we that it is DEMONcrats who START wars, and Republicans who FINISH them.

Even Obama and his grandstanding on Iraq all he was doing is abiding by a treaty signed by BU'SH!!!

Most liberals support necessary wars against people who actually attacked our nation. We do not support preemptive, trillion dollar, unpaid for wars against people who didn't attack us. Glad I could help.

We just did what Bush couldn't do, kill Bin Laden. You're welcome. Do you miss him or something? We are for war when it is against evil, not when its for oil.
