Is Australia an awesome place to live or what?

So i saw yahoo answers question that asked if Australia was a good place to live. This was like 5 years ago though. The answers in this one were typically positive. "I love it here". "I moved there from the UK..it's great". Stuff like that! So, has much changed in 5 years? Is it still a pretty awesome place to live? Some pros and cons??

Update:

@ Thelonelykitteh. The only complaints I have heard so far is about spiders (and other animals) and that the weather is hot. I guess it is a pretty carefree place for the most part huh? lol

Have been fortunate enough to live in a lot of other countries and always found Australia to be best.

Many people are complaining about the influx of immigrants from countries whose culture don't match ours. This is nothing new Australians always like to complain about immigrants despite the fact we are basically a country of migrants.

The roads and public transport are good. There is plenty of food and entertainment etc.

Box jelly fish only happen in a very small part of Australia and only for a short time of the year so don't worry about them. Spiders and animals are pretty harmless if you stay out of their way. Just need to be careful of the Drop Bears (koala's) as they can be vicious when stoned

For high-quality surf, anywhere on the east coast from the Victorian border to Brisbane. North of Brisbane the offshore islands and then the first-rate Barrier Reef preclude just right surf forming. If you don't want to are living in Sydney then Newcastle, Coffs Harbour, Byron Bay or the Gold Coast could suit you.

What Drop Bear said. But he did forget to mention the Hoop Snakes. Most dangerous reptiles in the world.

Yes as long as you are comfortable with the place itself it should be good to you. However I don't really want to live there becuase of the Box Jellyfish,I know as long as you stay on land it can't get you but still I don't want to.
