spark plug reach for vortec heads?
I have a set of 1999 vortec 906 castings and I need new spark plugs as the heads did not come with any from the junk yard. I just need to know how much reach I need as the shorty plugs I had in my 186 heads aren't long enough to actually enter to combustion chamber.

Old man dirt.. Your sounding like an auto zone counter byoy. You don't need to know yyear, make or model for this info.
A vortec 350 head is a vortec 350 head.. Used from 1996-01 in chevy and GMC full size trucks, vans, SUV. All the heads for those years are the same.
Plug reach is .708", 14mm threads, tappered seat, 5/8" wrenching

It would help to know what vehicle the heads came out of. My info claims that the 97 Chevy truck used these heads (there are others). But this is my uniformed guess: .708 reach.
