When the last leaf falls, does the tree remain alive?

    A dead tree is very different to a tree without leaves.

    If the last leaf means the last breath but the tree means the memory of the person the tree represents it all depends on the sweetness of the syrup they produced in life. Bad trees are not remembered long. Those trees that produce the best are remembered in hearts and minds of their seedlings as long as the memory is passed on. Nice allegory for death.

    Yes. If you stay up and watch all night, you will see them gathering root worms and then when the last leaf falls and the worms are all eaten, they hibernate until spring.

    Sometimes when its windy you can hear them snoring.
