What I would do is take one of them our at a time and see if it does it with both or just one of them, make sure that they are the right speed for you pc as there is different faster ram that will work but you motherboard can blue screen due to not having the ability to read the fast ram speeds,

So if one is the problem and not both I would take it back as is showing as faulty

If two are ok but don't work when both in this could mean your placing to much ram in some motherboards can only take 6GB

If both don't work on there own its likely that they are the wrong speed for your motherboard say there DDR2 there are 4 speed types or more

Also to run more then 4GB you have to have a 64bit operating system

If you press F8 when you start your pc you can go in to the repair menu and do a diagnostics test on them

Remove one RAM and reboot. See if it's blue screen again. If yes, remove the one that's attached and put the other one in the same slot. Reboot again and see what happens. If it's blue screen again try putting in a different slot one by one. If only one slot that makes it goes like that then maybe the slot is damaged. If in every slot you put you still getting the blue screen, it's hard to tell whether it's the RAM of the slots. But, there is a possibility that you didn't put it properly. If after testing and there's no blue screen, repair your OS or re-format it.
