Yeah ,agree with you ,Our life is too fast paced,sometimes we need to have a stop,muse a little.When darkness come,we may have the courage to go for the sunshine,that kind of life is meaningful

I am not entirely certain what you mean by phases of darkness; however, I will take it to mean periods of deprivation and disillusion; in this context I find it hard to visualize situations where pain and discomfort can be consoling and helpful. Perhaps, such situations may provide guidance and wisdom for the future, but at the point of experiencing them there is little joy or comfort.
