Can you please slap me back into reality?

Hello!

I just need to vent and ask that someone snap my *** back into reality.

Here's the lowdown. I just recently found out that my former best friend from college has moved across the states and is living and happy and blah blah blah and I am still stuck at my parents house trying to figure out my ****** next step.

I have a good job and I am relatively happy...it's just that I can't help but be a little jealous. I have let go a lot of my friends because I am trying to be me and learn more about me. I am saving up to move the hell out eventually. Things are not that bad.

I just feel kinda like a loser because I guess my life hasn't taken off like I thought it would.

Give me a reality check please..and please be nice. I am just acting silly i know.

It's natural to feel that way. I do too sometimes. I got my degree in something fairly useless, and then married my Army husband, and we move around a lot, so I don't have a career, and it makes me feel like a failure, while many of my friends have great careers, making good money. But I try my best to be happy for them, and to also think, you know, their lives aren't perfect. They have work stress and annoyances that I don't have, and I get to spend a lot of time with my husband, and I get to cook nice complicated meals (which I love cooking), and keep a clean house, basically, be a great wife. That's nothing to sneeze at. Be thankful for your good health, and for a loving family that lets you live there, a lot of people don't even have that. You (and me) are probably just late bloomers, and we'll find something we love someday! Good luck!

Be happy for your friend! Just think positive it'll be alright! It's harder now to make a Strato because housing skyrocketed after they deregulated it. That's all not your fault. Just be patient.
