xbox live account problem?
I have signed up for a new Xbox live 12 month gold account via Xbox Live online on my pc. I used a brandnew Hotmail Windows live account to do it.
When I log on on my xbox live, my account/gamertag doesn't show up. On my xbox box, it tries to make me create a whole new account and profile and of course BILL me again.
How do I log in on my xbox console to the new xbox live account I set up using my pc?
I'm about to throw the whole lot out of the window and read a book instead.

try to see if you have the account on the XBOX. sign out all of any account you are signed into. press the guide button and click sign in. if you don't see your account then don't worry.
what you will need to do next if you have not found your account is RECOVER. read above but instead of clicking sign in. click recover. it will then ask you for your details that you used to sign up (tag, email and pass) then it will recover (your profile was saved online to the XBOX servers, you are now downloading from the XBOX servers)
it can take a while. once recovered it will be signed in ready to play, if not you should see it when you click sign in.
