I want to be a PROGRAMMER?

I am 13 and when I get older I want to work in the computer security field, web based programming, and simple programs/apps.

What do you recommend learning (languages etc.). Oh and if you are a programmer yourself, please say so. Plus, what is a good market to be in (Web based programming, etc.)

    Hello dear!

you should take up a computer course when you reach college, in that way you'll learn a lot about programming languages and other stuff about computer.

Actually there are several types of programming languages such as C, C++, C#, VB.Net, Visual FoxPro, Java, Assembly language, HTML, Php, SQL server and a lot more, so if I were you I'll start searching on the internet about these languages.

    Best of luck!

I saw some interesting looking computer/ network security courses as part of a series of Microsoft Certification Courses. I think you should consider the Microsoft Certification Courses. You might be able to take a wide variety courses at night at a community college. I would start with HTML, Javascript/Ajax and a broadly useful graphics software like Photoshop. Next, I would suggest .NET and SQL server.

If you want to learn web programming, i recommend you to start with w3schools.com . There are a lot of websites in the internet which can help you learn web programming. For getting online based jobs, register in elance.com or getafreelance.com and you can do jobs. You have to gain reputation at the beginning to be able to bid for bigger jobs.
