freshman level algebra?

here are some examples of the problems anyone know how to do them?

Find the sum or difference

(a^2-4a+b) + (3a^2 +13a+1)

Find the product

(2x^2-3x+5)(x+4)

Factor the polynomials

t^2 = 10t+25

Solve the equation

    t^2+10t+25

    (t+5)(t+5)

    21z^2+85z-26=0

    (3x+13)(7x-2)=0

    3x+13-13=0-13 3x= -13 divide by 3 x= -13/3

    7x-2+2=0+2 7x= 2 divide by 7 x= 2/7

    okay...

3a squared and 1a sqaured are like terms so you combine them...

    4a ^2

-4a and 13a are like terms combine them

    9a

1 and b are not like terms

    1+b

    combine everything...

    4a^2+9a+1+b

    next:

distribute one section to the other...

    2x^2 times x is

2x^3 because x's exponent is 1 and when multiplying... add exponents and mult the number: 2 x 1 is 2, add exponents and get 2x^3

    2x^2 times four is 8x^2

    -3x times x is -3x^2

    -3x times 4 is -12 x

    5 times x is 5x

    5 times 4 is 20

    combine:

    2x^3+8x^2-3x^2-12x+5x+20

    combine like terms: 2x^3+5x^2-7x+20

    next:

    too hard to explain

    Next:

    add 26 to each side

    21z^2+85z=26

  • Find the sum or differnece.

    sum:

    4a^2 +9a+b+1

    difference

    -2a^2-17a-b-1

    Product

    2x^3 +6x^2-7x+20
