why are cigarettes legal and pot isn't?

pot is a mind altering drug that can cause brain damage and other side effects (such as reduced sexual desire and sperm count) through prolonged use. Tobacco is a drug too but you can't get high off it and even if you do, you won't need to go to rehab to put your life back together because of a drug addiction. when your addicted to weed your always lazy and can't make it to work or anywhere else for that matter. i'm not saying there is anything wrong with smoking weed occasionally as it is perhaps the equivalent of alcohol, but if you ever do try it, please don't make it a habit!! it can quite easily become a problem. And of course tobacco is a nasty habit too, especially with cancer risk and the shortening of your life, but still not anywhere near as bad as an addiction of alcohol, weed, or a much worse drug like meth or cocaine. any serious drug addiction can screw up your life and ruin it for your friends and family too. believe me both pot and tobacco are addictive but i'd rather be a tobacco addict if i had to choose.

Weed is too easy to grow so impossible to tax effectively.
