Why is screaming for no reason so pleasurable?
Why should letting yourself go in an emotion be a cathartic experience? When through rage, I let everything go; my thoughts, burdens, and happiness too. I would assume that it makes me feel better because although I lose what is good, I have more pain that is released, but isn't this an argument for suicide?

Screaming causes natural painkillers (narcotics) to be released into your brain.

There was such a fad in California a few years ago
they called it the Primal Yell. I saw snips of it on tv.
I think it was ar Epsilon inst near Big Sur.
Don't know why it worked, but they claimed it did.

screaming is not something you do everyday, so when you do it for no reason, your body quickly assumes that something frightining is happening, but nothing is happening, so the resultant reaction is you losing your emotions, and is like a "restore" button in an ipod. your body and you r in great conflict in that time...!
