Grounds for Lawsuit for False Charges?

Here's the scenario:

Husband is in a custody battle with ex-wife. To get the hearing delayed and cause embarrassment she:

Takes minor child to file false stalking charges at police precinct. When they see through her she goes to different town to file worse charges. Has her boyfriend lie and say he saw him also. Then tells police officer there's no way to get in touch with him they are in a custody battle, addresses and attorney info is known on both sides), and actually gives misleading info to police officer (has him looking in a different state). Police officer speaks with someone that husband does business with.

Also we all live 1000 miles away from eachother. Husband had to fly up, get arrested, then bailed. Then had to fly up again for trial. The case was Expunged at the Prima Facia level. Arresting police officer also deposed in favor of husband for custody case.

Update:

I know I have libel, slander, possibly 4th amendment?

The police refused to arrest her, because they look stupid that they were duped by her.

Can or should we go after the police on this also?

Update 2:

Money is no object in this matter for justice. She has done similar things to any others. Plays the victim and gets away with it.

A lawsuit against her would be justified.

She also should be criminally prosecuted for filing a false Police Report.

She could be prosecuted for filing a false police report...but that is generally a slap on the wrist and is done at the discretion of a prosecutor.

You may have a defamation case against her which is a civil matter...just depends on how much you want to spend to get "revenge".

For some reason the courts always allow women to walk all over their sysyem. Womens rites seem completly oppisite than mens rites. I'm glad to see they see thru her. Hopefully that will deminish her futher complaints. Meanwhile, don't give any ammo to enable her to strike up more false charges. Your dealing with a dangerous person. Be smart and you will prevail.
