Is my dog a beagle?

Check on GOOGLE.COM and, check up on Beagles. It is illegal for someone to sell you a bread if they say its a Blacklab, and its a blacknormaldog, then thats illegal i believe. SO best of luck. Find anything, go to IMAGES, (found in the uper LEFT of the screen when you type www.google.com) then type BEAGLE, then look at the beagles, if your pet looks like all of them.... Then you might want to hunt down that person, or tell someone. Best of luck!

Maybe you should try to find out how to SHOW a picture of your pet, then others can better tell if it is a beagle. I cant tell without a picture of your dog. Your reg. vet should be able to tell you with a simple blood test. They take it's blood and they take a DNA sample of it and that will tell the lab techs. what breed it is. A chihuahua is a very small breed and it doesn't come in two different colors, also they will have pointy ears and they will bark a lot. Fir a dachshund, it is a bigger breed. They do come in two different colors usually brown\black or tan\brown. So if it was the mix you have stated it is it would be a medium sized dog. If you fond a picture on the net that looks like your dog it doesn't meant that it's the breed that you have, but people make that mistake all the time.

Well, it seems like your dog might be a beagle. My dog was said to be a purebred yorkie, but he seems to look more like a silky terrier. To find out for sure go to http://www.akc.org/breeds/beagle/ and read the standards, coloring, etc that a beagle has to have to be a true beagle. That's what I used to determine what my dog was. If you are now sure that he's not a beagle, look at the different breeds on that website to see what your dog is. Good Luck!

A DNA test can tell you for sure. Posting a pic of your dog here - we can give you an opinion.

The breeds look pretty different so my guess is the dog is at least part beagle.
