What question about God do you struggle with most?

I have no desire to bash anyone for their beliefs, nor do I want to be bashed for my Christian beliefs. I want to know what non-believers struggle with believing most. I only ask a few conditions:

1. You be respectful to Christianity and to other religions.

2. You not make assumptions.

3. You ask a serious question that has to do with the Christian religion.

4. You're willing to hear my response.

I don't claim to be a professional philosopher or theologian, but I WILL try to answer all questions to the best of my ability, whether I have space on this question to answer, or whether I have to e-mail you.

I myself do not believe in God, and I do not resent, ridicule, or object to anyone who does have faith, I have nothing but the deepest respect for your beliefs, But what I find hardest to accept is the bible, being a man of science physics and mathematics, I can comprehend the existance of a God(s), but what your bible is asking me to believe doesn't add up, for one the bible is very definate about the times and dates that certain things happened, and according to these ages, the Earth, Human race and the rest of the universe is a mere 6000 years old, how can that account for the dinosaurs that died out 65 million years ago, or ICCAH2006, that is a galaxy 13.5 billion light years away, it has taken that light 13.5 billion years to arrive here, that is a far cry from 6000 years, if the universe is 6000 years old, we should not see anything in the night sky beyond 6000 light years away from earth, but we do, and your bible states that everything was created at the same time, so God couldn't have created the universe then waited 13.5 billion years to create earth and us. And there is numerous inconsistencies like this in the bible, basically because humans in that era could not conceive that mathematics may someday disprove it, if they had understood that the may have wrote the story a little differently.

some questions i have trouble with is, if god was at the beginning, then who or what created god? this next one is literal so if you dont believe in the 6 24 hour day creation thing you dont have to answer. if god really did create the universe in 6, 24 hour days, then why did he wait 4000 plus years (according to the bible the earth is a little older than 6000 years old) to send his savior? and one last one, if god loves us so much, then why does he condem people to hell from time to time?

try to answer with out the usual "god lives outside of time" or "because god said so" (or something to that effect)

I got one: What the heck do we do about the homosexuality thing? I mean, I really think God/Jesus would love these people, yet I have a hard time with God and His thinking its a sin. I mean, if its a sin but we're supposed to love them, how do we treat homosexuals who refuse to admit they might be in the wrong?

    And I'm a Christian, btw.
