Which Mathematics school?
Suppose I've been going to community college for two years and now I am going to university. Now suppose I'm going to major in mathematics (pure). Money is a problem (no ivy league universities for me). What is the best college for mathematics with concern for my financial constraints?
1 AnswerHigher Education (University +)9 years ago"Proof" that 2=1 by differentiation?
I found this headache on Proofwiki (my virtual haunt).
x = 1+1+1+...+1 (x times)
x^2 = x+x+x+...+x (x times)
2x = 1+1+1+...+1 (x times)
2x = x
2 = 1 (ummmm... no)
This is much more difficult cousin of the more common "proof" that uses division by zero errors.
