    The Secrets We Don't Know

    The flowers on the knoll

    leave an ineffable scent

    to linger in the soul

    The words in my head

    melt together and fall

like a waterfall on my bed

And I lie here and wonder

if the weeping willow ever weeps

and has in its bark the stories

and promises that it forever keeps

Or what the stars up above

think of all that it sees below

    If they mourn,love,judge, or

laugh at the secrets we don't know.

  • What do you think about this poem?

    The Flow of the Violin

    The flow of the violin

    grasping my soul

    caressing my mind

    Taking me to a land

    of intoxicating beauty

    The melody becomes faster

    and more passionate

    A multicolored cloud of horses

    comes racing past

adding the rhythm of their hooves

to the intensity of it all

    A waterfall comes crashing down

    Birds take flight

    The lions roar good morning!

    The zebras run goodbye!

    The phoenix cries listen!

The wind wraps it up by

    awakening the ocean in a

    sudden clash of audacity...

I open my eyes as the song ends

and breathe as if I'm out of breath

They say music is life but I've just

    discovered

    life is music

    Raining Pearls

One by one the pearls fall to the ground

    Each landing feels like thunder

A sense of loss feels the air

Loss of a beauty I once knew

The humidity comes before the storm

And then slowly the rain follows

Each drop a reminder of carefree days

    running through the downpour

Fearless of the lightning that we were told to avoid

We stripped down taking off the clothes of reality

    and headed barefoot into oblivion

The adrenaline courses through my veins like never before

Making no room for the past and the future

All I know is now and I embrace it

The water drenching my body, releasing my spirit

And it roars with freedom, twisting my lips into

    a smile of ferocious beauty

The memories of cold water wake me up

or maybe it was the tears that subconsciously escaped

And I get on my knees set on finding my pearls

determined to feel the rain and the pounding of

    audacious footsteps in the grass,

    running from nothing

    running to nothing, just running.

And then I walk outside and it’s raining pearls

    My forgotten smile returns.

  • What do you think of my poem?

    Words

    They come to me

    from a dark cave

    Whose silence

    is so startling

    I cannot sleep

    These words are

    like thunder

    I can hear them

    but cannot see them

    I wait for the lightning

    that comes after

    so I may catch it

    and show people I

    am not crazy

    but it

    never comes.

Instead I hear the soft whisper of the

    wind and the rustle

of the leaves and know I only wanted

    to prove to myself

    I'm not insane.

    Words

They come to me like thunder

but are too terrified to show themselves

  • What do you think of this poem?

    The Wind Told Me Something

You always said that i couldn't fly

You always said that i couldn't do this

That i wasn't made for that

You always said i had to fill in those

    empty spaces with something

But when i turned the radio off

    the wind told me something

It gave me a pair of wings and said

i could fly with it anytime i wanted

It told me to look at the sky and said i could do

    all that and more.

It said look at the sun and the stars.

Everyone was made to shine, some

just choose to shine brighter than others.

The wind told me that if it weren't for this

silent space in time that i wouldn't

of learned these things about the world.

It said you should listen to me more often

    I've been around

    I know these things

It helps to listen to something you can't see

to learn something you don't know.

  • The Sleeping Veil ,do you like?

    Long Black eyelashes

    holding back the tears

    Acting as a veil

    Strong and beautiful

    But once alone

    it can't hold back the

    waterfall of agony

    Music is the only thing

    that can soothe her soul

    Sweet words dancing upon

    a melody that slowly

    closes her eyes,kisses

    her forehead and lays

her down to a sleep of

    merciful dreams.

    A sleep where nothing matters

    but the earth and sky

And the wind that blows in between.

    "Through It All"

    Take me into the sky

    where love becomes real

    and show me how

    it's really suppose to feel.

    Wrap me in your arms

    and never let me go.

    Talk to me,listen to me,

and we can show the world

    that we can be.

    I'll tell you something

    random that you'll never

    forget and we can laugh

    together while we roll

    down hills of sunshine.

    Catch me when i jump

    and when i fall

  • Whatcha think of this poem?

    "A Place to Simply Be"

Her heart gallops with the mustang

Her soul soars with the eagle

On the verge of tears, she longs to break free

Free from the city air, filled with pollution

A place where she cant even see the moon

    or hear her own thoughts.

Cars constantly going by, music blasting

    across the street.

Her mind goes to the open fields of freedom

Th campfire and the sparks floating up

and up to the blanket of stars that

sing her to sleep under the

    iridescent moon.

She rides carefree upon a velvet black,

whose sleek coat shines in the moonlight

with a spirit of audacious grace.

There in the land of the living

    they gallop with the wind

their hair whipping behind them in

    beautiful chaos.

She sighs with content as a smile of purest joy

spreads across her face,as in her sleep

    she gave the last toss.

For now in her dreams, she lets her spirit

    run free.

Finally, her soul found a place of peace where see can

    just simply be.

    Laughter floating through the air

While a smiling face lights up the forest

The sun shining on the dirt path

as you twirl through the rays of dust

The melody of the birds leading you step

by step,as you dance with carefree cadence

    Your white,loose dress,comfortable on

your flawless skin goes round and round

up and down as you leap through the air

like a ballerina of new found audacity

The light breeze blows the footprints you make

into the sky,as if the gods long for the steps

of the angelic dance they see below, displayed by

the girl in the white dress

So painfully beautiful, it brings tears to watch

Like the sun,you cannot look at it for too long

or its beauty will blind you

As she passes through this hallway of green,

flowers sprout up just to see

Owls wake from slumber as they hear the voice

    of this mysterious thing

And the deer come out of hiding ,awed at

    the strange,innocent beauty

You are fearless as you invigorate everything

around you with your dance of inflamed passion.

Humble, ignorant of the world you persevere through

    your dwelling place of simplicity

where you get by with the bear necessities

enjoying every minute of it,breathing the fresh forest

    air from dusk till dawn

She bathes in the waterfalls and dances with the

    wind in gracefulness

Showered in sunshine, she has no name, for she is known

    by nature as

the girl in the white dress.

  • A poem you might or might not get. u dig?

    "To make Sense"

    To make sense

    When one is inspired

    Suddenly with such feeling

That can't be expressed with words

One must use poetry to make sense

    Because even though the audience

Does not fully grip it,you do

And you feel relieved, lighter,to let go

Of the burden of raging quiet that was

Caged inside you for so long.

    To make sense

When the world does not even try

With the killing of their own kind

With the abuse of their own selves

With the polluting of their own planet

So do not expect me to make sense.

Do not ask me to lie.

This world does not make sense

    So why should I?

  • What think you of my poem?

    "Happily Found"

Sitting under petals of golden shade

she is sung the humming wind lullaby.

She dives into water of clear blue

and comes out glistening but dry.

The sound of the crushing waterfall

against the warm spring is full of nature's

    audacity.

And green silky grass caresses the

skin as you sit and drink in the sun,

    sweet tea.

Cool, soothing to the throat it trickles

down into your body causing a smile to

    spread upon the face.

And up ahead the birds of the rainbow fly

    carefree with extravagant grace.

    This meadow so immaculate

that one bite into its replete of succulent

    fruit replenishes her soul.

Now,the soul that withstood all the pain and

strife, empty of hope and love, is finally full.

In this place she is understood as the

fresh air invigorates her with a tranquil sigh.

Then,as she closes her eyes, a leaf of soft velvet

    carries her toward the sky.

Slowly she sinks into satisfied sleep while

    harmony carries her around.

There she floats deeper into peaceful oblivion

where she is no longer lost,

    but happily found.

  • A simple poem,u like?

    Some days pass you by

    without a thought to

    remember.

    That was yesterday.

    Some days stand out,

    forever in your mind

    without a doubt.

    That was 13 years ago.

    Sometimes it's the little

    things that you remember

    the most.

    So don't go through life,

    ignoring those things like

    a ghost.

    A nod of acknowledgement,

    a simple smile could be

    engraved in their memory

    forever,thanking you

    for making their day

    all the while.

  • A deep poem felt from the heart. u like?

    "The Ocean That Grieves"

    The waves ache with sorrow

    as they overlap the shore

    of endless pain.

    They plead with the fearless

ships of war as they sail upon

    the water,set on nothing but

    destruction.

    They wash over the lifeless

    bodies,mourning each life

    taken with agonizing pain

because they could do nothing to

    save them.

    It despises its own beauty,for

beauty wont give them speech to

stop the young warriors of ignorance

    from rushing to their death.

    This ocean of furious beauty

overlooks the land its waves gently

caress with such deep pity, that it could

flood the land with its glistening tears.

But it doesn't do that because it

knows it would only cause what it is

    grieving;death.

So it gathers up all its strength

and tries to understand that these

    men fight for honor,and die

    for what they love.

    And love above all

    is worth dying for.

  • "Tears of Hope" anyone like?

Clumsily she gets on the stallion

He helps her up with a strong

    tentative hand.

Then one last look of sorrow

and regret but hope of a better

future and off he sends her.

She wasn't very skilled in the

    art of horseback riding but

knew enough to hang on for

dear life when the horse is

    slapped from behind.

Because thats what he did to

    save her.

And she dared not to look back for

fear of falling off and her rescuers

    efforts would've been for nothing.

He last saw her with a tear

trickling down her soft ivory skin,

    her dark hair, a beautiful

mess, just the way he like it, and

the message of "come with me" in

    her eyes of tearful hope.

But he couldn't ,he had to stay

and fight, give her a chance at life,

for these guys wouldn't give up.

She last recalled his warm touch

helping her on this horse and

how safe she felt with him.

    Who knows?

    Maybe he'll live.

    There's always hope.

    Hope of a better future,

a future together with the one

    you loved.

Even though her vision was blurring

with tears, they were tears of hope.

    She just hated not knowing

if ever again she'll see his face.

She hated not knowing if ever again

she'll hear his laugh that sent tingles

through her body, or the smile, the smile

that did it all, melting her, making her blush.

    Or those eyes...O,the eyes.

Seeing right through her mask of perfection

always knowing just what to do to make her

smile and laugh and feel loved, but most of all,

    safe.

She wishes she wasn't so helpless

sometimes so she could turn back

and fight by his side, but in reality she'd

    just make matters worse.

So off she journeys down the

    foggy forest path with nothing

but the tears of hope to hang on to

    and the sturdy horse,his favorite,

to give her that feeling of safe.

    "Merciless Beauty"

Can you not be so beautiful

for one day, for you make

    me feel ugly.

Like a rock beside a rose

    I stand still,not good enough

    for the likes of you.

Can you not shine so bright

for one day so that i might

    share the glory.

    The fire within me,longing

    to break free.

    Break free and run like

    the furious leopard.

    Furious for being caged in

for so long, not being able

to feel the bliss of the wind

    whipping her hair back,legs

    running so fast,arms pumping

    her even faster.

    I'm trying to compete

    only with myself, but your

    merciless beauty makes

    me feel like I wont

    ever be good enough.

    Can you not beat me

    every time, so that I

    might think i have

    a chance.

    Or,maybe I'll do

    what I've never done

so that I might have what

    I've never had.

    I'll get up extra early,

    work my heart out, and

    do the same at night.

    Competing only with myself

of course, so that i may be the

    best I've ever been.

    So that for once

    I will be the

    O,how we miss

    Flying through the

    faster and faster like

    a rocket of furious

    beauty.

    Long dark eyelashes

    closed over a face

    of pure serenity.

    This strong young woman

    defies gravity by sheer

    will.

    She slows down and

    begins to soar like

    a bird through the air,

    overlooking the world

    Finally,she's free.

    Free from material objects.

    Free from war.

    Free from discrimination.

    She soars through the air

White dress waving like a flag

    of glorious freedom.

Care free she glides through the

    sky,wind whipping her hair into

    beautiful chaos.

Her blue eyes brave and confident

This girl with black hair like silk,

    pale face like snow,

and blue eyes of kind wisdom

and strength that make you cry

for all the sin you've committed

because one look into those eyes

and you know she knows you better

    than you know yourself

    This young woman who was

just a nobody living in an intimidating

world of somebodies is finally someone

Not by might, nor by power, but my His spirit,

    transformed into an angel.

It was in her all along, the very image

    of her soul.

She had been a white rose

    among red ones,seeing the difference

only on the outside and blind to

    the goddess within.

    Heart beating faster and faster

Pearl like hands reaching into oblivion

she flies gracefully to her prolonged

destiny where a white rose is more

    than welcome.
