  • Would you not go to a certain casino because of the type of free soda they serve or are they other reasons?

If you were planning on going to an Indian Casino for gambling, dinner, etc, that has free soda fountains (RC Cola, 7Up, etc) placed throughout the casino would you purposely not go there because they did not have the big name brand of Coca Cola or Pepsi? The next nearest casino is an hour away. Does the soda really matter that much?

  • What would you do? Wrongful death suit but need to have the mom who we do not communicate with file.?

My sis in law died this March from a blood clot that traveled to both her lungs from her calf. She had gone to the ER twice in 10 hr period she discovered it, got worse, they sent her home both times, said not to worry they don't travel up from the calf. Her personal dr saw her two days later, said same thing, put her on home injection blood thinners (should not have been given contradicted with 5/18 other daily meds). She died the next day when the clot moved to her lungs. In CA, specific order of who can sue for wrongful death, and since her mom is alive she is only one who can do it. We do not get along with/communicate with her though. It has been 8 months now, you have 1 year to file suit. We have tried to open a line of communication with my hubby's mom, sending cards, pictures, emails, etc just to say hi, but she has not responded. Someone needs to be held accountable, not for the money, but for the principal is why to sue . Should I give up, be straightforward, or?

  • Bunk bed for 5 yr old w/ a 3 and 2 yr old bro in same room?

My son turned 5 in May, and he has 2 brothers, just turned 3 and 2. We have the bunk beds being used as twin beds, but actually we have them pushed together and make one big bed for all the boys to sleep in (they love it). My husband is eager to set up the bunk beds as bunk beds and add a third twin bed in their room, which would make much more room for them. I know that my 5 year old is probably ready for the top bunk (he would use it), but I'm not sure about the other boys and if they would try to get on the top bunk, etc., because I'm sure they would try at some point (we are in a 2 story house, the bedrooms on the top floor, so not up there except bedtime). I do know from research that they say 6 years old for the top bunk. I'm on the fence with this, since they like the one big bed they are currently in (especially 2 yr old who likes to snuggle with 5 yr old), but on the other hand, it would make more room in their room, and they are getting bigger by the minute! Any advice?

  • What is the appropriate treatment for a DVT (blood clot) in lower left leg (calf)?

A little more history: 49 year old female, diabetic, high bp, high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, fibromyalgia, severe depression, PTSD, bipolar, major anxiety, sleep apnea, and liver disease due to extreme fatty liver. On 16 daily meds for psych and med, plus a 17th optional for nausea as needed, and 18th for stool softener. Her meds: Docqlace, Cytomel, Lexapro, Famotidine, Promethazine, Metoclopramide, Metformin, Trazodone, Hydroxyzine HCL, Cymbalta, Glimepiride, Levothyroxine Sod, Protonix, Lisinipril, Benztropine, Tricor, and Clozapine. Of those, 7 had warnings about anticoagulants, 4 of which were serious interactions, and 2 other meds have a rare side effect of causing clots (research on WebMD). This person went to ER twice in 10 hours (sent home both times, told not to worry, talke Ibuprofen)then to her personal doc not even 2 days later, he put her on home injection blood thinners. She died the next night, clot broke loose, split, and traveled to both lungs.
