  • How can I enable the auto rotate on my iphone 5?

A couple days ago, out of the blue, my iphone 5's screen stopped auto rotating. It won't rotate on photos or texts or web surfing....nothing. I tried a hard reset but it had no effect. I Googled the problem and found a seemingly simple way to fix it....

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    1

Press the "Home" button twice. The multitasking status bar opens at the bottom of the screen.

    2

Flick the multitasking status bar to the right to reveal the iPhone's iPod controls and the rotation lock. The rotation lock icon is located to the left of the iPod controls. A small lock symbol appears on the icon when the rotation is locked.

    3

Tap the rotation lock on. A brief "Unlocked" message appears. The small lock symbol does not show on the rotation lock icon.

    4

Press the "Home" button to close the multitasking status bar and return to your Home screen.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

However....my phone doesn't take me to that status bar screen when I double tap the home button, as mentioned in number one above. Instead, it takes me to a screen that allows me to completely close apps. So my question is....where is the auto rotate control?

  • TV audio cable problem?

On the back of my magnavox LCD TV the only audio out port is a yellow female plug that looks like an RCA cable port but has the word coaxial written above it. I'm trying to hook my powered speakers up to my tv but I either need red and white audio stereo plugs or a small headphone plug. Is there any kind of adaptor that will allow me to go from my tv to my speakers. I've never seen a single yellow RCA port that's for audio out named coaxial before and neither has radio shack. Can anyone help me?

  • Are my AC to USB power supplies interchangeable?

Background......I have two AC to micro USB power supplies. One says blackberry on it and has an output of 5v-750mA, the other says plantronics on it and has an output of 5v-600mA. They look very similar, so I am worried that I may accidentally use the BB charger on the plantronics device or vice versa.

    My 2 Questions.....

    1) How important is that 150mA difference in the two power outputs? Should I worry about damaging either device if I charge it using the wrong charger?

    2) I have a USB to micro USB adapter cable. Can I use this cable plugged into my laptop's USB port (that has an output of 5v-500mA) to charge the above mentioned devices without fear of damaging them or my laptop?

I realize that you can make no promises on either of these questions, and that nobody can ever 100% accurately predict how any device may react to even minor differences in charging mA's. My questions are basically just about what one might expect to be the case based upon the limited info given. Thank you for any help you may provide.
