Recording my VHS tapes to MP4, should I use 4:3 or 16:9 resolution?

I am converting all my VHS tapes to MP4 so I have them as digital files.  Just wondering if I should use 16:9 or 4:3.  Someone told me 4:3, but from what I can tell 16:9 looks fine?  Thanks for your advice.  Below are two examples of the same video (one in 4:3 and one in 16:9), which do you think looks better?

How can I shut off GPS location services on my J & J vaccine after I get vaccinated?

    Favourite answer:

Wrap your whole body in several layers of metal foil, for at least 50 years.

And never use the internet or any smartphone or tablet - they are what tell the vaccine where you are!

Or being struck by lightning would also probably be effective; you would never be worried about conspiracy theories again.

Am I being watched and/or listened to?

    Hello, Internet.

After two years of unexplainable disappearing items and bizarre coincidences, I may have found evidence that someone is listening/watching my home. Today I downloaded a Bluetooth scanner app to help me find some headphones that curiously vanished, but instead I found a crap ton of unnamed devices and a device labeled “F2”. The three things I’ve been able to find for “F2” are headphones (not the kind that went missing), an RM transmitter, and a field recording device. Could this be evidence that someone has listening/video recording devices in my home?

Accidentally touched metal to metal on a battery what will happen ?

My dumb self was trying to get a battery out of the remote (only one battery in there) and tried to get it out with kitchen silverware, waited a few seconds and then touched the battery. Now my finger has a slight numb feeling. Will this cause any damage to my body ?

Is there such a thing as a rechargeable keyboard?

For computer. I have found rechargeable computer mice that don't need batteries. Is there a rechargeable keyboard? Anyone know of brands or links to such products?

I would like something lightweight and portable for travel. It would be convenient so as not to use so many batteries. It should be rechargeable by USB.

Is it okay to store batteries in the fridge?

    Favourite answer:

It is completely fine to store them in the fridge. Do you need to? Not really. Will it extend their life? Technically yes, but in reality the gain is so minimal that its not worth the energy needed to keep them cool. Batteries today (common AA, C, D) made by like Duracell already advertise a 10 year shelf life. Which means they have managed to isolate the reactions so well that there is almost no degradation. Putting them in the fridge will slow down that degradation, but do you really want to add 6 months to a year of shelf life to a battery that already lasts a decade? You also run the risk that the battery will not perform when needed. The voltage that is claimed on the label is essentially that of room temperature. Out of the fridge the voltage may not operate your device until warmed up.

In the end, this is a lot like saying adding salt to your pasta water raises the temperature and makes it cook faster. Yes, adding salt does raise the temperature, but a normal few teaspoons of salt does almost nothing. Same here, keeping the in the fridge does minimal benefit.

How high wattage box can I use to charge my iPhone 12 Pro Max without hurting the battery?

I have an iPhone 6s, and I murdered the battery health by charging it with a fast charge cord paired with a 10w box (from my iPad). Now the 6s dies 3-ish times daily. What wattage is safe with the 12 Pro Max (with the MagSafe charger)?

What does 105ah@20hr mean for a battery?

I'm looking to replace my pop up battery. Ive been looking and im just getting super confused with this electrical stuff. I went to bulbs and batteries and the nice lady recommended a duracell AGM battery thats does 105ah@20hr. I know the 105 ah means amp hours, and to my knowledge thats the batteries capacity. So does this mean this battery can dish out 105 amps for 20 hours straight until it dies? This seems like ALOT of power this battery is able to produce making me think I'm misunderstanding this. Can someone please let me know if I'm correct or put this in a simple way to understand?

How do I convince my mom to let me buy a different phone?

I've mentioned that my stylo 4 may be dying, I don't know when it will. I've had it for about two years now, and the phone app on it keeps messing up. I've had to use my android repair app twice, and it's worked for a while then new problems appear. I'd like to buy this lg stylo 5 I found on eBay, it's on good shape, has a few minor scratches on the protector, but otherwise it's in good shape.

Here's the problem: she bought me a brand new stylo 6 that I hate, refuse to use it no matter what, but she also spent almost $400 on it with case and everything. She says I Have to use this thing of my stylo 4 dies, and I can't do that. I've already stated my reasons.

This stylo 5 + on eBay is going to cost about $90, which I can cover with my money I got at the casino. It's free shipping, and I would use it gladly. How do I convince her to let me buy it?

Do I have too many plugs connected to one wall socket?

I know you can't connect multiple space heaters, toasters, kettles etc. to one power strip (extension lead) because they have high power capacity.

My room only has one wall socket.

I have three power strips daisy chained, they all connect

    - my 32" TV

    - PS2

    - PS3

    - PS4

    - USB C Charger

    - USB Micro Charger

    - PC

    - PC Monitor

    - Printer

    - Laptop Charger

    - Desk Lamp

Is this all too much for one wall socket? It's been ok so far but im concerned about a possible fire

Any suggestions on where to get a watch battery?

    Favourite answer:

    It's just a spring clip.

Hook the tip of a pin or needle under the lower end of the "strap" where it bends in to the watch - it's hooked over a protrusion on the plastic.

It just needs the very end pulling outwards (down in the photo) so it unhooks and the strap pops off the latch piece.

Lift the old battery out and put the new one in, smaller side first. Do not touch it with bare skin, it can make them tarnish.

Then hook the clip over the top latch and press it in to place so it clicks over the bottom latch.

Again, try and avoid skin contact, or at least wipe it with a dry cloth or tissue afterwards
