What is the first city you arrive in when crossing the bay bridge from San Francisco? Oakland or emeryville? ?

    Andre FAILED because of one word.  The Bay Area is not in Southern California.  Remove the 'the'!

    Actually, the FIRST surface exit is in West Oakland.  It's for West Grand Ave.

    But West Oakland is just a neighborhood, not its own city.  And the city it belongs to is Oakland.

    West Grand Ave runs from the exit through the neighborhood to downtown Oakland.

    On that side, it arrives in Oakland. One has to drive a bit farther on the 580 to get to Emeryville.
