If I get accepted to a community college, but don't attend, what happens?

I have not paid any money for tuition or fee. I have not registered for any classes. All I did was complete my application and was accepted. If I decide to attend a different college, what happens? Does my application just stay there?

In most cases in the US, an acceptance or "offer of admission" will naturally expire if you don't reply with your own acceptance of their offer.  If you do accept an offer of admission, you need to inform the school if you change your mind and choose not to attend.

Nothing much.  You'll probably get a letter or two inviting you to register next semester.  That's it.

If you have not registered for classes, you are fine. You don’t need to go there or officially  drop out.

Yes you can go to another school.

Eventually your application will be purged.
